Once in a Lifetime

Part 1 of Knowing Whats Right

Natsu' POV-

"Fire Dragon.........ROAR!!!!!", I yelled while scorching both Gray and Loke in flames due to the fact they had no idea I had gone up behind them. They both fell to the ground coughing. Something seems off about the cough; wait a minute are they laughing? "Hahahahaha." both Gray and Loke laughed out. "You honestly think that can effect us now?" Loke said looking directly at me. "He's to dense to realize that our powers are like ten times stronger than before". Darnit! I knew they were stronger, but for them to not even get a scratch after that??

Nobody's POV -

"Loke lets stop having fun and get down do business" Gray said looking over at Loke, who seemed to have the same idea. "Sounds good to me" Loke said, as they walked up next to each other. Just then, they stood side by side next to each other, with big magic rings appearing underneath them lighting up with all different colors. They started to take in great amount of magic power, which not only seemed odd, but they slowly moved positions so that they were now facing one another. Just as the magic power started to build up, the sky started to become filled with clouds which seemed restless. With the dark clouds now in the sky the sun was no longer shining, and the temperature around them began to drop rapidly. Not only was the temperature dropping, but the ground began to lightly shake, as well as the trees, and everything else on the ground. Natsu, Happy, and Lucy, not understanding what was yet to come, all stood next to each. As each moment passed by the trees, grass, and all living things became to die as their life power was sucked into Gray and Loke's strong magic.

Natsu POV -

Everything around us was dying and shaking. The trees slowly lost their crisp fall colors, and turned to rotted wood. The sky was filled with clouds that were angry and ready to let loose. Even though all of this was going on around us, the only thing that I was concentrated on, was Lucy... The look in her eyes showed it all. The once big brown chocolate orbs that glistened in the sunlight were small and shaking as she watched what was happening. Her whole body trembling in fear at the thought of what might happen when Loke and Gray finally cast the spell. Her once vibrant skin, now shallow and pale. With one arm holding a scared Happy, who didn't want to watch what was yet to happen. The other arm clenched into a fist with anger building up inside. Thats when I thought, Gildarts once told me that a good wizard is the one that knows when they are defeated. So.....

Lucy POV -

As I watched each life around us begin to die, and be sucked into their power, I could feel the brim of my eye lids fill with tears. That's when....

Nobody's POV -

Natsu looking over at Lucy, grabbed her hand, not daring to let go of it.
