While I was using my friend's phone, I came across one of her apps called 'FunFacts', and I listed here some of what I've remembered from it:
-Manatees can make a wide range of vocal sounds close to talking like a human.
-Chow-chows and Chinese Shar-Peis are the only dogs that have blue tongues.
-You have to run across a football field to burn calories from a piece of M&M's.
-Elephants can be pregnant up to two years.
-Dogs can't sweat, so they pant in order to get rid of the excess heat in their bodies.
-There was a time in Japan where men divorce their wives if they're left-handed (I was speechless with this, how the heck is this supposed to be 'fun'?).
-Only female mosquitos bite. Male ones drink nectar.
-The human brain stops growing after 18 years.
-The first non-human to win an Oscar Award is Mickey Mouse.
-'Hello Kitty White' is Hello Kitty's full name.
-Polar bears aren't white, rather their fur is transparent and the sun's rays are making them white.
-When penguins find their mate, they pick up pebbles and give it to the female penguin they like.
-Unlike above, Emperor penguins 'sing' or chirp a tune to their chosen mate.
-Owls and penguins are monogamous (meaning that their chosen partner will be their mate until they die).
-Oranges, watermelons, and tomatoes are actually berries.
-Eggplants are 'cousins' to the deadly nightshades and belladonnas.
-Christmas Island in the Pacific is formed from corals.
-Only one in 9,000 is an albino.
-The woman with the largest number of births is a Russian peasantwoman in the 18th century with 69 children (I pity her, whoever she is).
-A long time ago, Thailand made a stamp that looks like a banana.
-A long time ago, maternally orphaned babies were being fed with goat's milk directly from the goat's udder.
-A thousand honeybees are needed to produce one tablespoon of honey.
-Honeybees can remember a person's face.
-Ants have two stomachs, one is for digesting their food and the other is for storing the food to give to others.
-We are more prone to hairfall when stressed.
-Each of us have a distinct unique smell, except for identical twins.
-If we lost 2/3 of our liver due to injury or trauma, it could grow back again.
-Poor eyesight is associated to high I.Q. (No wonder there's that fad of wearing glasses in our place)
-The average I.Q. is 100, higher than that would make one a genius (Meh).
-Fingernails grow longer on the hand you often use, or like, with the middle fingernail growing the fastest.
