The ladies toke the kids to security while we toke the luggage to checking. I carried a hockey bag while Ray, Mikey and Frank toke hold of suit cases. Mikey and Ray were ahead while Frank seemed to slug along. He was lost in thought which bothered me. Him being deep in thought means something happened, something big.
I slowed to his side and sighed softly. His attention wasn't caught out of the hazey thought. I pursed my lips and made a face. Frank's hazel eyes pointing downward; they were distant and empty. I cleared my throat ubruptly. His gaze slowly moved to mine. I felt a bit embarrassed by distracting him from his thoughts. My mind whirled ever so slightly.
"Hey." I uttered softly, my voice barely noticable over the sounds of the airport.
"Hi." Frank said softly. I knew something was wrong, and I'm gonna get it out of him. We approached the desk and placed everything we needed to. It was really complicated to navagate through an airport.
"Dude, what's wrong?" I asked harshly. I got the hazel death glare from him. My heart raced slightly while my head reeled through my inner monolog. Frank ignored me entirely as we made our way through security. His eyes once again distant and empty. I felt someone pat my legs, in search for what ever. My gaze was caught by Frank looking back at me.
"I had a dream, it keeps coming back." He said to me. Mikey and Ray looked at us too.
"And?" Mikey asked in a weird way.
"It's where I choose Jamia over Kat." Now it made sense, he's questioning himself. I watched as Mikey and Ray sighed.
"What are you going to do about it?" Ray asked softly. We walked together to our family.
"You have to tell Kat about it." I demanded. Frank shook his head frantically.
"No!" He exclaimed.
"I can't do that!" He added. I stopped dead in my tracks and grabbed his shoulder. Frank's gaze shot up to me. It's harshness and confusion apparent. They began to tear up dramatically.
"You have too, remember if you have something on your mind you talk about it in your sleep." I reminded.
"And with the baby on the way, dude you have too." Ray added softly. He whipped away the tears and nodded.
"Right, I'll tell her." Frank whispered.
Good, she deserves to know.
