Well we landed in Australia really late in the day and most of the kids were half asleep, which made it easier to move them around, it's like 'Okay you go here and follow me.' And they do it. Plus they slept the whole ride here. The ride from Sydney International Airport to the condos was long, The adults were awake while the kids slept. I honestly don't blame them, it toke a whole day to get here. Arriving at the condo and seeing Holly, Aaron, Declan, Grace, Joey and David was like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Sadly the kids were wide awake when they reunited with eachother. So none of us got much sleep that morning. We went for lunch then we went down to the beach. Already Nick, Logan and Fae were so tanned they looked dirty. Ray, Mikey, Gee and I didn't really go into the water but Kyle, David and Aaron went in for surfing. Those three boys are nothing like us, but they love music and Kyle works with the record deal we have. Aaron works in a coffee house and David works for MTS. Then when the beach closed we went for dinner at a nice place, then we went back to condos and watched a movie. The kids were down right exhausted by then as was I. Kat had a nap before she came down to the beach so instead of both of us putting the kids to bed, she did it by herself. I must've drifted off into a very deep sleep as soon as I went to bed because I was back on the beach. I lay there on the hot sand, listening to the waves roll laziely in and out. It was a nice dream so far. I could feel a hand slid into mine slowly, the grip so fermilure; so soft and warm, reassuring. But then I felt another hand slid into my other hand, it's touch so strange but fermilure to my senses. My eyes opened slowly to see Jamia and Kat. My heart renched when I saw them. Not again!
"Jamia, you've gotta stop showing up in my dreams. I've made my decision a long time ago." I hissed harshly. A twisted smile played her lips.
"We both know that the only reason you chose her was because she was going to die." Jamia said in a seducative way. My gaze moved over to Kat, she looked patient like she wasn't going to try and win me over, it was my choice.
"Kat, aren't you going to say anything?" I asked in a demand. She frowned slightly.
"Always the same ending, because monsters don't get to live happily ever after." Her riddle only made me more confused. What ending? Who's the monster?
My mind stirred myself awake, my body quaked with sweat seeping through my clothes. The bed absent another life, I was left alone. The dark room had white crystal sequnces dancing the walls. My legs untangled the blankets and moved me through the darkened room. In the main room the lights were off but the TV was on. I peered around the see Kat sitting there, a blanket on her lap. And a book resting onto. Okay so not a very good child friendly story book, Brothers Grimm: Fairy Tales. From what I can here it's the story of Little Snow White.
"And Snow-white was willing, and went with him, and their wedding was held with great show and splendor. But Snow-white's wicked step-mother was also bidden to the feast. When she had arrayed herself in beautiful clothes she went before the looking-glass, and said—
"Looking-glass, Looking-glass, on the wall,
Who in this land is the fairest of all?"
the glass answered—
"Oh, Queen, of all here the fairest art thou,
But the young Queen is fairer by far as I trow."
Then the wicked woman uttered a curse, and was so wretched, so utterly wretched, that she knew not what to do. At first she would not go to the wedding at all, but she had no peace, and must go to see the young Queen. And when she went in she knew Snow-white; and she stood still with rage and fear, and could not stir. But iron slippers had already been put upon the fire, and they were brought in with tongs, and set before her. Then she was forced to put on the red-hot shoes, and dance until she dropped down dead." Kat's voice was harsh and angered. She closed the book and sighed. I cleared my throat ubruptly. Kat jumped and gasped loudly. Her hand over her heart.
"You scared me." She said. I smiled falsely and sat down beside her.
"Sorry, didn't mean too." I muttered.
"It's okay. I was just about to come to bed." She whispered and put the book beside her on the seat. My dream had really gotten to me, I mean I know it's not true. I didn't choose her because she was going to die. I felt her hand slide into mine slowly. Our fingers intertwine. I looked at her, a smile played her lips nicely.
"I love you." She whispered.
"I love you too." I added softly.
