I'm in a sad mood after watching something sad.
So, yeah.
Just thought I'd place my ideas here.

Francis
When I got home, I expected to see her waving at the door, greeting me with that gorgeous smile of hers. After such a long day at work, I just wanted to lie on the couch and hug her close towards me, kissing her forehead and talking with her until we fell asleep from exhaustion.
That was how it was meant to be.
Navy stood in front of the house, trembling in fear. It wasn't until I ran up to her that I noticed. There were police cars parked everywhere. I held her shoulders, staring back at her, trying to stay calm. Trying to not scare her.
"What happened? What's going on?"
"He can't go." Navy spoke boldly, bowing her head, almost in shame. She clenched her fists tightly and that was when the tears finally came rolling down her cheeks. I wiped them away quickly. I hate to see her cry. It tears my heart. It doesn't suit her.
"Navy, hey, hey, no tears..." They still fell in huge numbers, pattering onto the ground. "No tears, it hurts me... Navy, what's going on?" She stared back up at me, her voice trembling, her whole body trembling. Her eyes met with mine and she darted her gaze away.
The tears made another appearance, accompanied by a whimper and a dry, heart-wrenching sob. I wanted to cry too, just from seeing her sadness, but I kept strong, for her.
"Tell me, tell me," I begged, my voice croaking already. I held her tight as she wept, gasping when she could. I cancelled out the sound of the sirens and the chattering and focused on the calm breeze that swept through her hair and her slow, steady breathing.
"Félix," She broke the silence. My eyes widened.
"What happened to him? Did he go missing?" Navy's voice was emotionless, as if all her feelings had been forced out with her tears.
"For a while," She grimaced. "But, I couldn't do anything when I found him. It was too late."
"What..." I hesitated, squeezing her shoulders in an attempt to bring at least some comfort. "What happened?"
Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I was trying to stand strong, trying to not break in front of her.
But when she started explaining, I lost it.
"I couldn't find him when I got home yesterday night, so I looked everywhere I could. It was almost midnight when I came back. I..." Navy grimaced, clenching her fists. "Oh, God."
"Go on, go on." She inhaled shakily.
"I tried unlocking the door, but something was blocking it from inside. The curtains were closed and the window was bordered up. I looked through a gap in the curtains and..." Her voice trailed off.
"And...?" My curiosity defeated my patience. "What happened, Navy? What's wrong?"
The words that she muttered through her sobs caused me to shed bitter tears.
"Félix is dead."
Navy
He was crying in his sleep.
"Francis? Francis, hun', wake up." I shook him gently. He mumbled something under his breath before opening his eyes slowly and staring back at me.
"Navy..." His voice was quiet and barely there, which was quite a contrast to his personality. "What-" Francis sat up steadily and scanned the hospital room. "What... where..." I sighed; the lack of sleep had brought him to confusion.
"You've been here the whole day," I took his hand in mine. "Why don't you head home and get some rest?"
"Où est Félix?" I sighed again, staring back at him. His eyes widened immediately and I regretted looking so mournful.
"No, no, Francis-"
"I didn't even..." His voice quivered. "I didn't even get to say goodbye, Navy."
"What?" I frowned, shaking my head. Typical of him to be so dramatic. "What are you talking about? They just took him to another room." It was only then that Francis took note of his surroundings and realised that he had been sleeping with his head resting on the edge of the bed.
"I thought he... You said-"
"You're still living in your dreams, aren't you?" I rolled my eyes. "C'mon, let's go." Francis stood up shakily and gave me a questioning look.
"Where?"
"You do want to see Félix, don't you?" I smirked, taking his hand and guiding him through the hospital corridors. Looking back at him, I frowned. The bags under his eyes were quite visible and his eyes were still red from crying. I reminded myself to not give him a mirror, in case he caught sight of the state of his hair. Francis glanced back at me and I quickly gave him a reassuring smile as we entered the room. "He's still a little dazed, so don't pester him too much, alright?" He hummed in response, already edging towards the bed.
Félix's eyes were closed, however, as Francis appeared next to him, he opened them slowly, taking a while to adjust to his surroundings. He stared back at his father with emotionless eyes.
"Félix..." Francis stared back at him in admiration before glancing at me. I nodded in approval and cracked a smile as my husband wrapped his arms warmly around our son. "Oh, Félix!"
"Papa," Félix closed his eyes once again, accepting the hug gratefully and mumbling into his father's shirt. "I missed you." Francis drew away, giving Félix an almost offended look.
"I was so worried about you! I didn't know what to do with myself, Félix-" His rant was interrupted as Félix and I chuckled, very soon bursting into laughter. Francis darted his gaze from Félix to me, then back again. "What? What is it?"
"All this fussing, Francis," I strolled over to him, wrapping my arms around his waist and kissing him gently on the cheek. "If I wasn't feeling so sympathetic, I would have hit you upside the head by now." The Frenchman snorted and the three drew into a warm hug. Félix smirked, having noticed the dark circled under his father's eyes.
"Bad dream, Papa?"
"Oh... Nightmare."

Ok, so when I started writing this, it was supposed to take quite a dark turn.
However, I found the draft of it and decided to end it quite warmly and happily, since my mood has changed since then.
Hope you enjoyed it!
