You checked the weapons. Its just fake. Toys for safety purpose. Including the Hidden blade. Why Ubisoft why. You whined mentally. I know its for safety purpose but why.

In the corner of your eye, you noticed that there was a piece of paper lying next to Altaïr's hand - the hand with the hidden blade - which you picked up and you waste no time to read it. It says :
