There is a new POV in this chapter.
Doctor’s POV
I was walking towards the lift when I heard a young man ask about one of my patients from this morning, Alexis Valentino. He sounded upset and I knew I should be the one to tell him. I began walking over to him and approached him and his friends, im assuming, by tapping him on the shoulders. He turned around quickly as I introduced myself. “Hello, I’m Dr Hampton, I overheard you were looking for Alexis Valentino… if you would like to follow me into my office?” I suggested as i began walking towards my office as they followed. I led them in and shut the door behind me, taking a seat at my desk at the boys sat down on the couches. “Now, I know this is hard and a lot to take in. You don’t really know what is going on and you are probably feeling scared and worried before.” I began. The young man began tearing up as his friends comforted him. “Please just tell us what happened” he asked me through tears. “Okay… well Alexis was in a really bad car crash. Sadly…” I was interrupted by moans of sadness and tears as all 5 boys began breaking down in tears, all cuddling together. “Sadly, the members of the other car passed away at the scene. Although Alexis, Renee and Sasha are alive, they are all in critical condition. This is why they have been placed in the ICU, which is the Intensive Care Unit. Sadly, they are all in critical conditions, which means they have to be closely monitored as there is just no way in telling whether they are going to get better or worse. They have been placed in induced coma’s which will hopefully give some time for their body’s to heal more before they awake.” I told them.
Luke’s POV
I didn’t know what to feel. This was too much, I had just been told that my girlfriend and her best friend and second mother figure had been in a car crash and are in critical conditions and they might not live. This would have to be the worst day of my life, I couldn’t breathe, I felt physically ill. I ran over to the bin in the corner and vomited. This couldn’t be happening. The doctor began to speak “Would you like to see her?” he asked me. I sniffled and wiped away my tears before I answered “Yes please” between sobs and picked up a few tissues out of the box on the desk. I left my brothers and friends as I followed the doctor down the hall. He stopped at room 519 and began to open the door. I took a deep breath and followed him in. I caught a look of Lexi and broke down in tears, sitting on the chair next to her bed and placing my head down on the side of her bed. Tears streaming down my face. She looked like she was in so much pain, she had a cast on her left wrist and her right leg. She was covered in bruises and she had cuts all over face and her arms. “Now, the reason she has been placed in the ICU, Is that she is currently suffering what is called ‘organ failure’ due to the force and stress on her body from the crash. She is being well taken care of and closely monitored, so we are all praying that her, Renee and Sasha are all alright.” Dr Hampton told me as I lifted my head up and held Lexi’s hand in between mine, kissing it and praying to god, that my beautiful princess would be alright. I know I hadn’t known her for long, but I loved her with all my heart, she was my world. I had pictured spending the rest of my life with Lexi, getting married and having lots of kids and growing old together. I needed her to pull through this and I knew she would, she was the strongest girl I had ever met and she could definitely pull through this. After a few minutes, I kissed Lexi goodbye and made my way out to the other boys. “Where’s Jai?” I asked as the boys pointed to a room. I turned around to see Jai, in tears holding Sasha’s hand, as she lay still in the hospital bed, exactly like Lexi, covered in bruises and cuts and she had a cast on her right arm. It broke my heart, I could see how much he liked her.
I went over to the front desk and asked if they had contacted Renee’s and Sasha’s family members. They told me they had, so I decided to get the boys and go back to the hotel and tell the others. There was really no use being here right now. We would come back each day and see them until theyre better though.
The doctor came running over to me “Mr Brooks, wait please, there’s something I need to tell you.” he led me into his office by myself as the boys waited outside. I sat down and Dr Hampton began “I don’t know if you knew this, It might come as a shock to you but… Alexis was…”
What is the doctor going to say? oooooooooooohhhhhhh ;)
