Ethan Eton-Martin and Rachelle Crawford are in the photo above. That's basically how I picture them. Their middle names are Spencer (after Peyton's father) and Marie-Peyton (Marie after the mom and Peyton after, well Peyton).

For the better part of twenty minutes I had been playing hide and seek.

"How could I lose a whole boy!" I exclaimed, already knowing where the 5 year old was. "I wonder where he is hiding!"

There was a quiet giggle coming from behind the curtains. They framed one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. If you looked out the window, there was a lake that was incredibly blue and clear.

This was just a cottage though. Not even mine.

"Have you found Ethan yet?" Corey walked into the living room.

I subtlety pointed to behind the curtains, "No. He's gone!" I exclaimed.

Corey smiled, "Well maybe he wants some cookies?" Corey bribed Ethan.

Immediately the boy with bright blue eyes and dirty blonde hair crawled out from behind the long curtains. "Cookies?"

"There you are!" I smiled and kneeled with my arms open.

Ethan came running in and hugged me tightly. "I beat you mommy!"

"You did beat me! Uncle Corey brought you some cookies though!" I let him out of the hug.

Corey set the plate on the table and was eating one of the cookies.

"I think I could see myself living here soon," He spoke up and admired the view. "Once I retire."

"It's a fantastic place. Ethan loves it here, so does Rachelle." I smiled and ruffled my son's hair.

"Rachelle would love living here wouldn't she?" He smiled and almost like she was summoned the small 3 year old came running into the room.

She was the spitting image of Corey, there was no denying she was his kid.

Corey had never been married yet, not to this day. He was turning 40 in December.

He had done a good job being a single dad. Rachelle never really asked about her mom.

"Want some cookies Ray?" Ethan pushed the plate closer to her side of the table.

She smiled and took one.

"What do you say Rachelle?" Corey prompted the shy girl.

"Thank you Ethan," she mumbled.

The sight of the two kids made me smile. When I was twenty I might have wished for this to have been Corey and I, living together happily with 2 kids.
