I couldn't believe what was happening.
He hit my mom to the point of her forgetting me and he was released on good behavior? He should be in there for life, he did something awful.

He was hitting her, I knew it. I was really young, I couldn't stop him. I heard my mom scream in pain, and then it stopped.
I ran downstairs to find my mother unconscious on the floor near a broken vodka bottle.
"Hi Gloria sweetie. Was it fun to listen to?"
He was insane. He asked me if hearing my mother cry until she blacked out was fun. He would pay for this.
"I didn't want to hurt you, honey, but you're provoking anger in me today."
Before I could do anything he slapped me in the face and pulled my hair hard simultaneously. I was kicked in the stomach twice before I became unconscious.

He was going to pay for this.
