"Happy Birthday Kamiyah!" Everyone cheered as she stood smiling hard looking over at everyone. My baby girl was beautiful.
"Daddy! Cake" She called pulling me out of my thoughts. "Hold on Baby girl" I said going to help her cut her cake, while her friends went back playing and everyone else carried on with their conversations.
"Happy Birthday princess!" We both looked over at the door to see her stepping out of the house and into the back yard.
"Mommy!" Kam cheered running over to her. "Hey baby, I missed you"
"You need some help?" My sister Teyana asked I nodded handing her the knife. "Stop worrying, she's happy. Thats her mom she loves her" She said. "I know I just don't want her to get hurt" I confessed watching as Kamiyah interacted with her mother.

"We all thought you wasn't coming"
"You know I wouldn't miss my daughters birthday!" She frowned.
"I wanna take her tomorrow" I shook my head. "Nah we're busy"
"What? No Chris it's her birthday and I want to celebrate with her" She pouted.
"I said no"I repeated a little louder.
"I don't know you think you are-" "I'm the one with full custody"
"F*ck you Chris, every time you get the opportunity you throw that in my face!" She yelled wiping away her tears trying make sure I didn't see.
"I wouldn't have to if you did your job properly"
She rolled her eyes and walked over to Kamiyah who was busy playing with her friends.

"Yes mommy?" She asked innocently looking up at me with her pretty brown eyes.
"I have to go now-" "No mommy!" She cried hugging me tightly. "Don't cry Kamiyah" I said trying to hold back tears.
"I don't want you to go" She pouted squeezing me tightly. I stood up with her still holding on to me.
"I love you I'll see you later" I Walked over to Chris and let him take her from me as she kicked and screamed trying to hold onto me.
