"So what's up with you and Henny? It's been days and you've only spoke like twice." Kayla asked as she braided my hair.

I rolled my eyes at the mention of her name. "I don't wanna talk about her."

"Why not? Tay were all family we don't need to be fighting each other."

I sighed feeling my hair to see how much was left to be done. "Honestly I don't have an issue with her I just hate how she's let the little fame that she has get to her head."

"Yeah I agree she is a little self centred sometimes. She needs to humble herself."
Just then August walked in closing the door behind him.

"Taylor."

"Excuse me were having a conversation here." Kayla fussed.

He covered her face with his hand and pushed her away softly, dismissing her argument. "Yeah you can finish your little gossip session later but I gotta talk to both of you."

"Alright go head."

"Well you know I've never brought a girl home before but with Chanel things are different, I really care about her but I know she's been stressing over being with the family."

I frowned. Our family had a little drama but we always welcomed guests especially my grandma. "Why?"

He shrugged. "Ion know she said if my family don't like her then I won't wanna be with her no more. So I need you guys to make her feel at home."

"Just be nice to her. Like when you go to them Christmas parties, shopping or whatever invite her along." He told us.

"Okay." Kayla said holding her hand out making August look her up and down. "Can I help you?"

"It's gonna cost you. $100 should cover it." She smirked.

"Kayla! We family." She shrugged popping her gum.

"You really gonna charge me for being nice to my girl?" He asked holding his heart trying to look hurt.

"Uh yeah." She said in a 'duh' tone. He sighed and reached for his wallet in his back pocket.

"Here."

I gasped standing up so I could get my share. "What about me?"

"Tay."

"It's not like you ain't got the money." He shook his head and took out $50. I screwed my face up at him.
"You get the rest when I see Chanel happy."
