Best Friends?- Part 5

I woke up the next morning with a really big headache, I don't know if it came from yesterday's events or if it was maybe because I was actually getting sick but it was really painful. I winced as I sat up and pulled the curtain to my bunk, I looked across to see Camila's bunk made and empty. I furrowed my eyebrows with confusion, where could she be? I got out of my bunk and as my feet hit the ground I stretched my limbs. I made my way to the living area and smiled when I found Lauren sitting on her computer with her headphones in, she looked lost in whatever she was doing. I made my way to the couch and sat down next to her; she turned to look at me and smiled widely.

"Hey you! talk about sleep much?" She said and I gave her a confused look.

"What do you mean?" I asked and she pointed towards her watch.

"its 1" she said with a laugh, my eyes went wide when I saw the time had I really slept in that much?

"Shit! I never sleep in like that!" she laughed and I smiled at her.

"So what are you doing?" I asked trying to look at her computer screen, she pulled away a bit but when she looked at me she relaxed immediately and let me look.

"Nothing special, just tumblr" she said, I grabbed the computer to take a look at her blog. I had a tumblr too but I didn't know she had one so I was excited to take a look. I scrolled through her re-blogs and noticed a few things like Lana Del Rey, The 1975 and some quotes; I smiled at how much we actually had in common. She looked at me nervously like I was going to judge her but I smiled at her to reassure her that it was all good.

"This is really cool, we actually have a lot in common" I told her, the smile that consumed her face made me extremely happy and I couldn't help my smile either.

"Thanks" she said giving me a nervous smile.

"So where is everyone?" I asked giving back her computer, her hand brushed with mine and I couldn't help but notice a slight blush on her cheeks.

"Normani and Ally went to the studio to practice there vocals a bit and Dinah went with Camila shopping, she was going to get you to come but Dinah insisted on letting you sleep." She told me and I smiled at Dinah's courtesy because even though I didn't want to sleep in that long god knows I needed it.

"Why did Camila need to go shopping?" I asked and Lauren's smile quickly turned into a frown.

"Oh um for her date with Austin" she said hesitantly as she rolled her eyes. I frowned, I had completely forgotten about her date today and anger soon filled my head.

"Hey don't think about it okay? Let's watch a movie." She said breaking me out of my angry state; I never met someone who could make me feel better so quickly besides Camila. I feel like I found a true friend in Lauren and I couldn't help but smile at her.

"Yeah sure" she gave me a smile before she set up her computer on the little table in front of us; she leaned back and played the movie. Lauren decided to stay away from the romance movies which was much appreciated and put on 21 Jump Street. I made myself comfortable next to her as the movie began, I felt her moving beside me and soon enough she put her head on my shoulder and sighed. I let myself relax into Lauren and laid my head on hers as we watched the movie, I never felt so content with just staying in all day and watching movies as long as I was with Lauren. Lauren gave me a sense of relief and relaxation, she made me feel better about the Camila situation which I couldn't be more grateful for.

Halfway through the movie Lauren slipped her hand into mine and intertwined our fingers, I smiled at the gesture not really thinking much of it because I was comfortable with Lauren. I squeezed Lauren's hand and I felt her smile against my shoulder, not even 10 minutes later the door to the bus opened and I was greeted with the sight of Camila and Dinah barreling inside the bus laughing.
