Rules

It's all part of life's game,

That throws you into shame,

And sends you searching and searching.

But someday I'll find a way,

To play with my own rules,

And stay strong till the end.

The scorching heat likes to kill,

To end my will,

And all my misery.

I'll still be firm,

Focusing on the right turn,

And play with my rules.

I'll be your bane,

Like your mom with a cane,

Just minus the spanking.

Your sun be taken away,

On that fateful day,

Your rules will disintegrate.

But that's no fun,

You don't get my pun,

So I won't do that.

Instead let's focus on corrupting,

Not destroying,

And playing with my rules.

Do you like playing my game?

This game of cruelty and fame,

This shameful turn for the weak.

Get ready for an ending,

Hopefully never coming,

The moon will always be present.

But the time has come,

To strip you from those authorities,

And say your goodbyes.

My words never will reach you,

Because since when did you care?

You never did follow those rules...

"I don't want to go to school, I just want to break the rules"

-Charli XCX (Break The Rules)

"Why does every password now require a capital letter? That's just such a dumb rule"

(I know that makes no utter sense but I'm still putting it there)

Nov. 2017:

This is a really bad poem. As I look back at my old poetry, it feels odd.

But I'm not gonna change it.
