"Wait!" Ella cries. She grabs his arm.
He looks back at her. "What?!"
"You don't have to do this, George," she says softly.
"He raped you, Ella."
"Well y-yes, but—"
"But what?" He raises an eyebrow.
She swallows a lump that's formed in her throat before replying. "You killed his father, George. Isn't that enough?"
He stares at her for a minute. Then, he rips away from her grasp.
"No."
