Kim

Take a deep breathe Kim, you got this."My name is Kimberley -Kimberley Mohale, my reason for moving to California is my family and school. At first my mom had been promoted and we had to move to Atlanta a year ago with my siblings but 4 months later my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had to stay home which resulted in me dropping out of school because she could not pay my tuition fees.I have been looking for a job for the last 6 months."I tried to say calmly.I looked at the man before me, he looked too young to be the owner of this company that I don't even know the name of. He scribbled down a few things before looking up at me with a straight face before he asked again,"Where are you originally from and how old are you?" as he prepared to write down more of what I was saying- I guess."I am only 22 years old and from South Africa."with a smile I looked at him, trying to peak at what he was jotting down on the A5 notebook. He smiled back and said "Thank you Miss Mahale, we'll call you soon" as we stood and shook hands "and it's Mohale" I corrected him with a smile.I know my surname is foreign to most people and correcting them has become a habit for me.I walked down the long corridor with so many twists and turns that I am so grateful I kept note of and right into the elevator.Once by the ground, I bumped into a hard chest that knocked me down on the floor.I tried to stand without the stranger's help only to notice that my one and only
10 centimetre heel had broken into two and my favourite white blouse had coffee all over it. I quickly said my apologies and hurried out the double glass doors while the stranger tried to stop me and see if I'm okay but I fled out of embarassment. I fluited a taxi down and hopped in to head home.I looked through my purse to find that I had only $20 left in my purse.I'll just stop by the market to get something for tonight.I'll make a plan for tomorrow.
