A thrust in her heart she feels,

waking her up from the flickers of dark woes.

She sits on her lonely bed,

staring at the grey walls in the empty light.

The moon hesitates to illuminate the room,

the birds dither to sing a lovely tune.

Her heart races miles to escape,

but soul confided to this dark space.

Looking at the scars in her heart,

she cries.

Mind tempted with questions,

her life is numb to fight this darkness alone.

Every step she takes,

bounces with no direction.

Every chance she asks for,

gives her no freedom.

But she continues to live in the gloom,

though her life is doomed.

Though she is chained so tight to fight,

she hopes to find the light.

Several times she gets hurt,

stronger she gets.

Wishing to see a speck of the moon light,

wishing the birds to sing her a tune.

P.S: Please don't give up. Have faith and hope though the life seems to be harsh. There will be 'a day'. All these things are going to change.
