The Boy Next Door

We walked out of his house and back over to mine. We walked inside and I quietly shut the door behind us. I whispered.

"So what will it be? Pancakes, eggs and bacon?" he nodded smiling.

"I thought so it's my family's favorite." I smiled and started to cook breakfast with Nate helping me. Once the bacon started cooking Charlie and Kat come downstairs. Charlie gives me a ohh-look-what-we-have-here look, and Kat raises an eyebrow. My friends know I dont have any guys over unless Charlie and Kat bring their boyfriend's. I just shook my head and smiled,

"Nate this is Kat and Charlie. Charlie, Kat this is Nate he is our new neighbor." While I started on making the pancakes Nate said to Charlie and Kat,

"Nice to meet you." he smiles and started making the eggs.

"Are Mason and Zayn coming over for breakfast?" I asked. Charlie said,

"I will ask." and runs upstairs smiling with Kat behind her. Once breakfast was done my mom, dad, all my brothers and sisters, Charlie, Kat, Mason, Zayn, Nate and I sat down to eat. When we were finished my other siblings had to clean up breakfast so Zayn, Kat, Mason, Charlie, Nate and I all sat in the livingroom. Kat said,

"So Jules, you and Nate?" of course Kat would say something like that. Nate and I both said "No." in unison, and I could feel my cheeks flush. Charlie saved my life and said,

"Hey we should all go to the movies later tonight!" we all agreed.

"Nate you should join us. Jules never has a date...you should be her date!" I shot Charlie a look, and I could feel Nate starring at me. He finally said,

"I would like that if it's ok with Jules.." everyone looked at me when he said this. Gosh, why do they do that? I hate being the center of attention. I looked over at Nate and smile,

"That would be nice...thank you." he smiled at me and held my gaze before anyone could notice I looked away.

"Well then it's settled we will meet here at 7:00pm and go to the movies." again everyone agreed. Soon everyone went back home, and it was just Nate and I.

"So you know any good movies that are out?" I asked while getting a glass of water. He stood leaning against the counter he smiles and says,

"no, but we can look and see what's out." I nod and turn my back to him to get my water,

"That sounds good." when I turned and took a step I slipped over one of my brother's toys, but before I hit the ground I was in Nate's arms. His face was centimeters from mine, and I was breathing heavy but I managed to get out a thank you. I then realized how close we were and I step back. He looked....hurt? No why would he be?

"I will see you at 7:00 Jules." he smiles, but it wasnt his usual one that brightened up his eyes before walking out leaving me confused.
