chapter 9!

Recap:

“You’re Australian?” He asked.

“Mark, are you serious? You never knew that?” I asked.

“I’m serious. I thought you were British or something like that.” He said.

I rolled my eyes.

“There’s a big difference in the accents.” I said.

“Not really.” He told me.

I shrugged.

“Wait, Cody’s coming here?” Zack asked.

“Yup!” I said, smiling.

“Is Alli coming too?” He asked.

“I imagine, why?” I asked.

“Just wondering.” Zack said, smiling.

I laughed.

“Someone has a crush.” I said.

“Do not!” He said.

“Do too!” I said.

“Nope!”

“Yup!”

“Okay guys, I’m still here.” Mark said, laughing.

Zack and I laughed, and gave Mark some ice for his ribs.

“Are you feeling okay?” I asked, as Zack left my room, probably to go eat or something.

“Yeah. I feel a little dizzy, but that’s probably because I got kicked in the head so many times.” He said.

“Yeah, true. You should have a nap.” I said.

“Can I take one here?” He asked.

“Of course.” I said.

I took everything off my bed that wasn’t needed, and I watched as Mark got comfy in it.

I laughed.

“Comfy?” I asked.

He thought about it for a minute.

“Hm, almost. There’s one thing missing though.” He said.

 “What’s that?” I asked.

"You." He said, pulling me close to him, snuggling me.

I didn't mind one bit.

We actually fell asleep like that, well, until the house phone started to ring. 

I slowly got up, trying not to wake Mark, but clearly the phone already did.

I answered it quickly so it would stop ringing.

"Feeling better?" My mom's voice asked.

"Much. I just had another nap." I said, looking over at Mark who had already fallen back asleep.

"That's good. I'll be home in about 20 minutes. What did you and Zack have for supper?" She asked.

I felt my eyes widen. If she's home in 20 minutes, that means it's already almost 7.
