Trouble Is Coming

#Chapter25

Max's P.O.V

I was planning on just running. To just clear my head.

But I end up at the door where you are forbidden to enter.

The door to Hell.

I know Adam is in there somewhere. But if I enter, I may never come out.

I put my hand on the door knob.

"Are you crazy?!" I hear Cole say behind me.

I turn around and say," I know Adam is hiding down there. I have to find him in order for her to be safe."

He just looks at me.

"I'm coming with you." He says after a long silence.

"No. You're not. It's too dangerous." I say.

"No one enters the gates of Hell alone. You'd be stupid too. I've already told Carter and Charlie what we're doing. They will meet us down there in about an hour. They're getting an army ready. It's not just because of Arabella. War has been going on for ages. We need to stop it. Not just for her, but for everyone." He says.

"Okay. Ready?"

He nods, and I open the door.

At first, we just fall into the darkness.

But then we see the fire.

I whip my wings out, and so does Cole.

Our wings turn black.

I've only been down to Hell once. To find my dad, but I could never find him.

Cole, however, has been down to Hell a lot of times because he likes adventure.

He's never been caught.

"Follow me." He says.

We fly down an alley and enter a house.

"What is this place?" I ask. "A friend of mines house." He says. "You're friends with demons?" I ask.

"No. They're Angels disguised as demons. It's good having connections both ways." He says.

"Cool."

"What are doing down here Cole? And who's your friend?" A voice says.

A figure stands beside me.

I look to my right and see a guy.

"Hey, Owen. This is Max. Arabella's husband. We need your help." Cole says.

I haven't been referred to Arabella's husband in years.

It felt good.

"What do you need my help with?" He asks.

"Do you know where Adam Nevill is?"

"Of course. He's the talk of the down. They're saying he's going to be the one to destroy Heaven. I was hoping that wasn't true. But I guess it is." Owen shakes his head.

"Where are they keeping him?" I ask.

"In Firestone," Owen says looking at me.

"Where's that?" I ask.

"It's where Lucifer lives." Cole answers.

"Shit."

Arabella's P.O.V

"Max is where?!"

"Bella. He's just gone down there to find Adam. Please. Cole is with him, and I'm sending an army down soon." Carter says trying to calm me down.

"I don't care! He's going to die down there. Both of them. Why is he so stupid?"

"He knows what he's doing. Please just wait here with Luna. We will be back soon."

I just look at him.

Luna walks in with Willow. She gives me her.

Carter leaves, and Luna tries to distract me with the wedding photos.

"You looked beautiful on that day Bella." She says giving me another one.

"Thank you. It's was fun dressing up." I say smiling.

"You look tired. You should get some sleep." She says taking Willow.

I yawn. I fall asleep instantly.

"Blue.." I hear a voice whisper.

"Blue..." It says again.

"Adam? Where are you?" I ask.

"I'm here."

"Where?"

"I'm with you."

"Is Max with you?" I ask.

"Yes. He made a stupid decision coming down here. I was going to get up, but he came down. Saved me the trip. Now I can kill him easier."

"No. Please don't. If you care about me, you won't kill him."

He steps out of the darkness.

"I have to. If I don't kill him, they'll kill me," he says.

"What can I do? Do you want me to come down there or something?"

"Yes."

"I don't even know how to get down there."

"I'll guide you." He says.

"Okay. When?" I ask.

"After you wake up. But come alone. Sneak away."

"Okay."

"I'll see you soon Blue." He says vanishing.

I open my eyes.

I don't see Luna anywhere.

Willow is in her crib.

I pick her up and hug her.

"I'll be back soon my baby. I'll bring back daddy for you." I whisper in her ear.

I kiss her on her cheek. I put her back in her crib. I open the door and walk out.

I'm still in the protection house, so I don't know where I'm going.

I walk down the stairs and run.
