The Straight and Narrow

His hands lift me up
When I cannot bare my burdens.
And when I want to just give up
He'll walk with me, I'm certain.

When I cannot fight my battles
He will join me at my side.
And when I'm weighed down by my heart
He'll catch the tears I cry.

And at any moment
He is ready to take my sins
Upon Him, when I am ready to
Appeal to the atonement again.

He is my brother and my friend.
There's no one I'd rather have
Walking with me as I take
The straight and narrow path.
