You brushed yourself off, prepared to walk through another thirty rooms. You looked down at the floors as you brushed your shirt off, a sudden noise raked into the room inhabiting you. You looked up quickly, as you now realized it was inhabiting 173 as well. You looked up, fear in your eyes. You backed away slowly, your eyes began to sting and the urge to blink became obviously present. As you walked into the wall, your hand searched desperately for a button. Your eyes began to muster up tears which brought you to the verge of blinking. Your hand found the button, your pressed it, but proceeded to blink at the same time. SCP-173 appeared right in your face, his scraggly hands inches away from your neck. You shrieked as you fell backwards into another room. You never looked away. You stumbled upwards and swiftly hit the button to close the door. After it shifted closed you stared at the door, just as a precaution.

You sighed, finally looking away from the door. You turned around. The room was pretty small and didn't have much to it. It was much like a hallway, a small monitor hung up on the wall. The next room was visible on it, thank gosh the monster of a statue wasn't inside, but he was right outside the door. There was a button that seemed to open the door, but it shut manually. There was only so much time to pass through. You pulled out the gas mask you had received upon walking throughout what seemed to be millions of rooms. You placed it firmly on your head and mashed your hand on the button opening the doors. You sprinted through the gassy room in which had a red tint to it, you avoided the broken pipes letting the gas out and exited as swiftly as possible. You sighed as the door clashed inward, shutting behind you automatically. You pulled the mask back off. You continued through the many rooms and hallways. You stopped at the heavy containment area. You walked in with a cross attitude as SCP-173 was only in the light containment area, but it deserved to be stuck up in here. You turned your head, a small teddy bear waved at you before pressing his paws against the glass keeping him from you. He just stared at you, and you watched in confusion. 'What the heck was a teddy bear doing in the heavy containment area, but that hideous statue isn't?' you thought, almost angry about it. You looked away from the bear to glance around the room, but by the time you'd looked back the cuddly critter was no where to be found. Half of you was scared and the other half was upset he'd left you. You walked out sulkily and closed the door behind you. SCP-173 appeared in the room with you once more. You stared at the creature eerily walking across the wall. You didnt want to go back to the heavy containment area so you proceeded to the next door. Your hand reached for the button and you backed into the room, closing the door tightly behind you. You watched SCP-173 as the door shifted keeping you from harms way. You sighed, "How many times do I have to go through with this?" You asked yourself. Not in fear or confusion, but more in frustration. You turned around. Another relatively small room. It was entirely white, and an elevator was put into it. There was a door, but it required a card in which you did not have to open. You glanced at the elevator in curiosity. You looked inside, glaring at the button and just around the small tight space in general, never stepping in. You pulled back out and turned to look at the door you'd come from. You then looked over at the door in which you couldn't open, hoping just maybe it'd open by chance, for your sake. But to your discontent, it never opened, even after minutes of staring at the motionless wall. You finally gave in, slouching your body forward in defeat. You let out yet another sigh before stumbling nervously into the elevator. You looked around at the ceiling and tapped your hands onto your sides before pressing the button in such a way someone could have thought you were rushed, almost excited to enter the lower levels of this horrific facility. You breathed irregularly and panicked as the elevator rumbled to life as it began descending you to the lower floors. You lost you balance but triumphantly regained it after of few moments of motion within the elevator. After about a minute the elevator slowed to a stop, the doors opening mechanically in a bit of an eerie manor, as the other doors did in this hell hole. You peeked your head carefully around the corner, viewing the interior of the space you weren't too sure you'd be prepared to enter. It took on an appearance much like the maintenance tunnels, only a bit darker and had a bit of that red tint that a few rooms had contained. You pulled out another long sigh of hesitation as you creeped out of the elevator. You glanced down the long tunnel, squinting in attempt for a better view, but to no avail. "Well...," you said maybe too loud, as it echoed through the narrow room, "here goes nothing." you stated much quieter, stepping out of the safety of the elevator.
