Words are useless, messy- unfair. 

Somewhere between the months and hours and seconds, Jimin loses track. 

He forgets. 

There's a fresh sting against his cheek, it's harsh and searing- and he stumbles back on to the bed. 

"Baby.." 

His eyes and words are so icy, oh but he burns- like rum on a fire. 

Jimin is crying now, tears pulling together and dripping uselessly down his cheeks. 

"I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.." 

Yoongi's apologies grow frantic and he grasps Jimin desperately, the younger's hands are limp  at his sides- and it looks ugly, but it's clean. 

"I love you.. I'm sorry.. I'm sorry.." 

Jimin squeezes his eyes shut, taking shallow breaths. 

He misses Yoongi, even though he's right in front of him. 

But the blood is rare, and sweet as cherry wine. 

++ clearly this is a rough au. this is hard for me to write, honestly. but i wanted this to be more than just a story. Jimin and Yoongi will go through a lot, and it'll all be painful. but that's the idea. also this fic was inspired by Hozier's Cherry Wine, an absolutely gorgeous song with so much meaning behind it.
