Considering the fact that I could do anything I wanted, I snapped my fingers just like in the movies (cheesy, I know) and the clothes I was wearing automatically transformed into a swimsuit.

"Race you to the water," I said challengingly the second we reached the sand.

I ran down the beach, kicking up sand behind me as I went. Because this was my dream world, I was probably ten times faster than in the real world, and I reached the water's edge in a matter of seconds.

I specifically remember this part of the beach. One of the few things I don't like about the beach is that the water is almost always cold, so I made sure that the water was warm on this beach.

I stood knee-deep in the water, standing still and closing my eyes serenely as the salty ocean spray, whisked up by the breeze, misted my face refreshingly. I always loved going to the beach in Oregon, but we hardly ever got to go, maybe once or twice in the summer if it wasn't raining.

Enjoying myself immensely, I barely noticed as Lucas reached the ocean.

I wasn't so sure about actually living in this dream world I had created at first, but there was a reason I had made all this up in the first place.

This was so much better than reality.
