Today Is the day,
That could bring a load on your back,
Or make your heart and soul crack.
Fear and apprehension reign your day.
The audience around could cheer you on,
Or jeer at you and pull you down
Bringing tears to your eyes and your lips, a frown.
And then you know that you are done.
Today is he day,
That you could be crowned a victor,
Or be ruled over, by some child dictator.
Fear and apprehension reign your day.
Our small world is corrupted,
A tiny rumour is all they need,
To start a fire, engulfing all who have done no bad deed.
Untrue words burst forth, like a volcano that's just erupted.
And as you gaze uncertainly at the crowd with your speech on this day,
One right move could turn all those frowns, including yours upside down,
But one wrong would could send your whole world tumbling down.
Yes, dear friends, today is Election Day.
