Chapter 2 : Forgotten

After Sakura's brutal attacks and Naruto scolding Jiraiya for not helping him. Naruto, Jiraiya, and Sakura all went to Lady Tsunade's office in the middle of the village.

"It's been a long time you too. I'm sure your training has produced some excellent results." Lady Tsunade said with a smile on her face, Tonton oink in approval.

"Of course! If it didn't we wouldn't be back so quickly, would we?" Jiraiya said with a proud expression on his face.

Naruto gave Lady Tsunade a thumbs up with a cheeky smile making her feel a sense of Deja voo. He acted like her under brother.

"Well then, I'll like to see the result of all that training then. So you'll have to show me immediately." Lady Tsunade

"Show you?" Naruto asked with a confused look on his face.

"By fighting a particular man. I didn't send him on any missions or task this complete of days and has been on standby for this purpose. Your opponent will be.." Lady Tsunade said before being interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Lady Tsunade shouted looking towards the door.

The door creaks open revealing Shikamaru and Temari standing next to each other. Shikamaru greets everyone without realising that there is someone special in the room. Temari looks at Naruto in shock behind Shikamaru.

"Shikamaru! Temari-san! Look who's here!" Sakura said with excitement before pointing at Naruto.

Shikamaru looks at everyone in the room before zooming in on the familiar yellow-haired person. It took him a few seconds before he recognized who it was. Temari stares in amazement at how much Naruto has grown since she last saw him.

"Naruto... Hey! Naruto! It's you! When did you come back?" Shikamaru said as Naruto turned around and smiled at Shikamaru.

"Woah! Shikamaru?! It's been a long time. Yeah, I just got back this morning and meet up with Sakura and Konohamaru gang before coming here." Naruto said with a smile.

Shikamaru stared at Naruto with a smile on his face. He analyses Naruto before realising that there was something about him that felt different.

"Huh? Did something about you changed?" Shikamaru asked causing Naruto to give him a cheeky grin.

"He hasn't changed at all," Sakura confirmed Shikamaru's question for him.

"I thought so," Shikamaru said with a knowing look causing Naruto to glare at Sakura.

"SAKURA!!!" Naruto whined causing everyone in the room to laugh at his childishness.

Naruto felt embarrassed by what Sakura said about him and the punishment she gave him just now. He realised something, just after Lady Tsunade was talking about him versing someone, Shikamaru came into the room.

"Then, does that mean that you are my opponent, Shikamaru?" Naruto said with a hopeful look on his face.

"Opponent? What are you talking about? I just came here to deliver some documents to Lady Tsunade." Shikamaru said confused before Naruto turned to look at Temari.

He squinted at Temari trying to remember who she was again. Temari looks at him with an agitated look on her face.

"Who are you again?" Naruto said bluntly, causing Temari to feel offended by his comment.

"Naruto! Don't offend Temari like that! She is not your opponent. Your opponent is out there?" Lady Tsunade said pointing towards the window.

Naruto walked towards the window before opening it. He was wondering who was this opponent of his. He turns his head to the side before a wide grin appears on his face. Kakashi Sensei was sitting there reading his perv book.

"Kakashi Sensei!" Naruto shouted before jumping out of the window and squatting in front of Kakashi Sensei.

"I see you haven't changed Kakashi Sensei. Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. Hey! Listen, listen, I got a little present for you, Kakashi Sensei." Naruto whispered with a secret grin on his face before reaching for Kakashi's present in his pocket.

"This must be a nostalgic moment for them." Lady Tsunade said as Sakura nods in agreement.

"WHAT?!! THIS?!!" Kakashi Sensei shouted staring at the book in Naruto's hand.

"Hehe! This is the first new title in the makeout series in three years. I think it's very boring though but I know Sensei, you like this kind of thing right?" Naruto said.

Jiraiya huffed in an offence of Naruto's words, feeling unappreciated for giving Naruto that unreleased copy. Kakashi Sensei stared at the book in awe wanting to read it right away.

"Alright! That's enough fun now Kakashi. Now let's get down to business." Lady Tsunade said walking away as Sakura wanted to shout at Naruto for the gift.

"Huh? Does that mean you are my opponent Kakashi Sensei?" Naruto asked as Kakashi Sensei stood up.

"Hmmm. Not quite." Kakashi Sensei said before walking over to the window where Sakura was.

Kakashi Sensei greeted Sakura before jumping up to the window's ledge and squat in front of them like a chicken. He looked at both Naruto and Sakura.

"Naruto and Sakura, both of you will be my opponent. We will be fighting on the training grounds. I'm sure Naruto would want some rest after travelling so see you in a bit." Kakashi said quickly before disappearing away.

"Why was he in such a hurry?" Shizune asked as Naruto and Sakura were trying to process the information.

"He probably wants to read that book of his now," Shikamaru said causing Sakura and Naruto to shout together.

Everyone laughed at bit and Sakura and Naruto's reaction. Naruto looked around the room, feeling happy that he was home with all his friends. Then a certain squad popped up in his head.

"Oh, how's Kichiro, Eiji, and the girl? It's been a long time since I've seen them. I can't wait to show Kichiro, his place under my foot." Naruto asked with a cheeky grin.

The entire training session Naruto had with Jiraiya made him want to test out his new Jutsu on them. After all they were one of the most powerful people he knew. He couldn't believe he almost forgot about them.

Naruto look up at to see everyone in the room giving him a confused look. He looks at Jiraiya who also seemed to be wondering what was going on. Sakura gave Naruto a very peculiar look before asking.

"Naruto, who are you talking about?"
