Road Trip

We were finally taking that road trip you promised me. We didn't know where we were going but that was the point. We just wanted to get away from home for a while. At the time, I thought it would be the greatest time of our lives. I didn't think I would regret it. We took turns driving so we could both get rest. I was getting sleepy while I was driving but when I looked at you asleep, I couldn't wake you up. You looked so peaceful and handsome. I just kept driving until I found a gas station which according to my phone was several miles ahead.  I began feeling drowsy until I just fell asleep. I woke up when I drove into another car. I opened my eyes when the car stopped flipping. The first thing I saw was you. Adrenaline rushed through my body. I instantly got both of us out of the car and limped as far as possible in case the car would explode. Luckily, it didn't. When the ambulance arrived and they put me on a stretcher, I went unconscious.
