Waves(the wondering bark)

I stand at the edge,
Where the waves meet the shore,
Sure I know,
That these waves come and go,
Day and night,
But forever in sight.

They carry me,
Across the sea,
To where I wish to be,
Far from home where no one knows,
My state of royalty.

They make me feel,
Like I am free,
To do whatever I please,
They help me see,
Just what I can be,
Without my overprotective family.

Though it can turn on me,
Letting me see how dangerous the sea can be,
Before I know I have no boat,
Now I'm a wondering bark just trying to stay afloat.

No person knows just how,
The ebbing tide does go.
