Hiccup hopped on Toothless with his bags, and together, they headed east, to see what lied beyond the archipelago.

"Bud, we could build a dragon sanctuary, a safe haven for dragons everywhere!"
Toothless gave his signature smile, and they soared off into the parts unknown...

3 years later
Berk

Life was never the same without Hiccup.

Astrid lost her will to fight, and often found herself in the training arena. When there, she befriended the deadly nadder they had kept there. She named her Stormfly, and they flew together as much as they could.

Stoick was broken hearted without family left, but he had to stay strong for his tribe. The vikings found the nest of the dragons, only to find it had been destroyed, the dragons gone, and a huge carcass of a monster the size of a mountain. Stoick continued leading the tribe with strength, but that did not make up for he hole in his heart.

After 1 year of Hiccup not being there, the dragon raids stopped abruptly, and Berk flourished in its newfound beauty. The buildings were upgraded, and tons of new things were added, but it just wasn't the same without Hiccup...

With Hiccup

After 1 year, Hiccup managed to take down the Queen of the dragons nest, losing his left leg in the process. He explored millions of different islands, and created his own book of dragons. While searching for a good place to start a sanctuary, hiccup came across a giant blast of ice. Being the curious rider he was, he went to check it out, finding his mother, Valka.

Together, they saved billions of dragons, and found 3 different Bewilderbeasts. They also defeated Drago Bludvist and his Alpha.

Hiccup planned to return to Berk after 5 years of being away.
