A month ago...

Marinette was walking home alone, as usual. It was a beautiful night, the sky was bright and the moon shone over the river.

Marinette was singing some song she heard on the radio, when she heard a noise.

She first felt scared, but then realised it was nothing to worry about.

Her curious side awakened, and she decided to search for the source of the noise.

She silently walked towards the noise. She was led to the park opposite her house.

She tried to see something. She hid beneath a tree and waited.

Two people were talking. She immediately recognized the voices. Chloé and Adrien.

She couldn't hear the conversation, so she tried to see what was happening.

The scene made her mouth fall open.

Adrien and Chloé were kissing passionately. She felt her heart ache and break into a thousand pieces, which would never stop hurting.

Not that Adrien and her were anything. She didn't really know why, but it hurt so bad. The way Adrien held her...

She stood up shaking. Chloé had a victorious smile on her face.

She ran home crying.

That night, between tears, she promised herself she would never love again.
