You wake up to a pair of arms wrapped around you and his face right next to yours. You smile as you flick his weird looking ear things.
"Shrek honey, it's time to get up." You whisper to him, shaking him slightly hoping to rid him of his tiredness.
Shrek groans as he sits up, rubbing his head and turning towards the clock. He was going to be late for work.
You decide to go make him some breakfast as you don't want him to go to work on an empty stomach.
"I'm sorry I have to leave so soon, but I promise I'll be back before you even realise I'm gone." The ogre says, adjusting his tie and placing a kiss on your forehead. He quickly grabs his briefcase and bursts out the door.
"See you later!" You yell, but he's much too far away to hear you now. After a while, you wonder what to do now that you're all alone. It's not the same without shrek there. It's much more lonely, obviously.
