Pinky Promises

(Hey, TECHNICALLY this is the last chapter, BUT I will be posting kinda of a teaser thing for the SEQUEL!! Whoo!)

Alex's POV

I sadly walked to school. Yesterday me and Laurens did everything that was on my 'Before I Leave' bucket list. I looked down at it.

Say a bad word:   X

Put tacks on Mr.Washington's chair:                      X

Write on the bathroom wall in Sharpie:                 X

Kiss John:

Okay, I didn't tell John about that one. Do you ever just have the urge to kiss somebody? Even if they're a boy? No? Okay...

As soon as I walked in, I got group hugged by everybody but Eliza.

I smiled and laughed, but made my way over to Eliza.

"Eliza, I don't want to leave the school as a butt-face. I'm so, so sorry, Eliza. I did a horrible thing. I really hope you forgive me."

"You're a butt-face."

"Wha-?"

"But you're also forgiven." She said, smiling. "Come on, bring it in." She said, and opened her arms for a hug. I happily obliged.

"Friends?"

"Friends."

John's POV

I stood in the school bathroom, and wiped my eyes.

"Get it together, John. You hardly even know the guy. Don't get so upset." I repeated to myself, and walked out.

I walked up to Alex, and gave him the Letter that I wrote. As he was about to read it, the bell for recess rang.

He smiled apologetically, and ran outside. Is he avoiding me?

Alexander's POV

I decided I'd just avoid John all day. It's much easier than saying goodbye. It's kind of a dick move.

I caught a glimpse of Laurens, he was sitting by a tree and writing. Maybe it would help if I went over to him and apologized?

As I walked closer, I could see him sniffling with tears in his eyes, and I felt a pang of regret and guiltiness.

...Well that didn't help at all. I sadly made my way over to him. I feel like such a butt-head. Like if Donald Trump and Sam Pepper had a baby. That level of douche-iness.

Laurens's POV

I wrote down what I was going to give to Alexander before he left.

I was never good with words, unlike him. He could talk somebody's ear off, but that was okay. It was him, and we love him for it.
