I was in the living room sitting on the couch reading a book and Jeremy is sketching at the dining room table when the doorbell rings. and Jeremy gets up to answer it.
"Don't rush to fast, Adrie. I got it," Jeremy says sarcastically and opens the door.
I smile a bit as I flip a page on my book and continued to read.
"Hey. It's gonna be $22," I hear the pizza guy say.
"Elena, I need the money!" Jeremy yells upstairs. "Uh, here. Come in. Just put it on the table."
Putting my book down, I get up to go to the kitchen to get me some water. I pause and look at the pizza guy, sensing something familiar about him. He pauses at the door and he gives me a small smile.
Jeremy doesn't notice it and he walks back into the dining room. The pizza guy places the pizza on the table while Elena comes down the stairs, retrieving the money from her wallet. I just stood there and watched him warily.
"Hi. Um, keep the change," Elena says.
Elena hands the money to the guy who takes it. He starts to walk backwards out of the house.
"Thanks," he smiles. "And you have yourself a good night."
Elena smiles and shuts the door. When she turns around, she sees me as I thought about something.
"What's wrong?" She asks.
"Nothing," I lie as I shrug my shoulders. "Did you know Bree was 'attacked' by an animal a day after we left Georgia?"
"Really?" Elena asked with wide eyes.
I nodded my head. "And she's the one that called Lee to kill Damon."
"Damon killed her?!"
"Yeah. And Mr. Saltzman knows I'm a vampire and I think he might know Damon. Which means..." I trail off as I walked into the kitchen for my water and pizza.
"He knows."

Mystic Falls High School
The bell rings signaling the end of class. Students get up from their desks and start to leave the classroom. Jeremy and I are packing up his stuff when a paper is thrown down onto his desk by Alaric.
Jeremy looks down at the paper and picks it up. A giant red "A" is marked on the paper. Jeremy smiles, stunned by his grade.
"Surprised? It's a good essay. Your thoughts are clear, and your argument is well laid out," Mr. Saltzman complimented. "It's just, uh, you don't actually think there are vampires in Mystic Falls?"
Mr. Saltzman sits behind his desk and I look anywhere but at him. Uh, hello??? I'm a vampire. Damon's a vampire. Oh, and so is Stefan! But he really doesn't need to know about the Salvatores.
"No. I mean, I think statistically there's been more animal attacks, mysterious deaths, uh, people gone missing, more than any other place in the whole commonwealth of Virginia," Jeremy explains.
"It's conjecture, but creative, which is why you got the 'A'," Mr. Saltzman says. "I just wouldn't get too, uh, caught up in the whole conspiracy theory of it all."
Jeremy waves it off. "Ah, I won't."
Jeremy gathers up his stuff, gets up, and starts to leave the room.
"Oh, uh, Jeremy," Mr. Saltzman calls, "the source that you cited for the 1860s info, uh, Jonathan Gilbert...?"
I look at Jeremy and then back at Mr. Saltzman. Jeremy used Johnathan Gilberts journal?
"Oh, my ancestor's journal?"
Mr. Saltzman nods his head. "I'd really like to see that sometime."
"Really?" Jeremy asks surprised.
"A first-person account of the Civil War? That's like, uh, porn for a history teacher."
Jeremy retrieves the journal from his backpack and I wanted to take it but I stopped myself. I can't let Jeremy know what's up.
"You think my essay's creative, wait till you get a load of this thing," Jeremy says tosses the journal onto Mr. Saltzman's desk. He picks it up carefully.
"Thank you," Mr. Saltzman says.
Jeremy nods and leaves the room. I stop and stared at him and he stares back at me.
"Well?"
"'Well' what?" Mr. Saltzman asks.
I roll my eyes and sigh. "Are you going to stake me or not? I know you know that I'm a vampire and I know you hunt them."
"Unless you plan on attacking me, I'm not going to stake you," he laughs. "But whatever is in here, is it true?"
"You're talking to a vampire right now, are you not?"
"Okay, okay," Mr. Saltzman says.
Using my speed to show off, I leave and the wind knocked a couple papers over

I hurried over to the Salvatore Boarding house later that night when Stefan called about the mysterious vampire that we had hit had called Elena.
I walk into the library and I see she is sitting on the couch and they are discussing it.
"Where's Damon?" I ask
"I don't know," Stefan replies with a shrug.
"Why me? What does he want with me?" Elena asks. "A-and if he's trying to kill me, then why call first?"
S. tefan walks around the couch so he can face Elena. I pour myself a drink and sit on the couch at the opposite end.
"That's because we're predators, Elena," was Stefan's reply in a simple tone. "We hunt. We stalk. It's often as exciting as the kill. I want you to take this."
Stefan sits down on the table in front of Elena and pulls out the vampire compass. He hands it to Elena and takes it and looks at it.
I get a closer look. "This is Jeremy's pocket watch. How did you get it?"
"I took it from Damon, who took it from Logan, who must have taken it from you," he said.
Elena opens it up and observes the contents, confused. It didn't look like a pocket watch to me. It looked a little weird.
"What happened to it?" Elena asks before I could.
"Well, it's not just a watch. It's a...it's a sort of compass, but it points to vampires," he explains.
Stefan gently takes Elena's hands in his own, showing her how the compass works. The needle whirs around on the compass and finally clicks into place, pointing at Stefan.
Elena looks up at him in shock.
When the compass started to whirl around again, it clicked into place like it did to Stefan but it pointed at me.
"I'm gonna go find Damon," I announce as I get up and placed my empty glass on a table near by.
"Why?" Stefan asks.
"We just need to talk."

As I waited in the square, I look at the time on my phone. I had to go home soon to get ready for the stupid dance.
"What do you want?" Damon asks from behind me.
"You killed Bree didn't you?"
As I turned around and looked him in the eye, I saw he was contemplating whether or not he should lie to me.
"Why? Apart from he almost having you killed," I say.
"Does it matter why I do the things you do?" He asks, raising his voice a little.
"I get what Bree done was wrong, but--"
"You're one to talk," he cuts me off. "You killed, what? Eight, nine people? Know your place before you try to put me in mine."
"Damon, I didn't come here to criticize you."
"Then why did you come here?"
"Would you like to attend the stupid dance with me?"I ask softly.
"The 50's were not my best decade," Damon says.
"Please, Damon," I plead.
He looked in my eyes for a few seconds and then sighed. With a nod of his head, a smile grows on my face.

I came into the house and grabbed my book that I was reading last night. Jenna was already in her costume but Elena and I had to get ready.
"Spoke to the insurance company. Car's totaled," Jenna says to Elena.
"You can keep using mine for now.
"So you're coming to the dance?" Elena asks.
I look at her and I noticed she was smiling. "Alaric asked me to help chaperone."
Jenna walks around the couch and leans against it. Elena, not looking at her, picks up an apple and is about to take a bite, but turns around and looks accusingly at Jenna.
"Why didn't you tell us, Jenna?" Elena blurted.
I look up quickly and I noticed Jenna looked slightly startled by this sudden change of topic. I put my book down and wrapped my arms around my knees.
"Your mom was gonna do it eventually," Jenna says softly. "I never thought I'd have to."
"If our mom were here right now and I asked, she'd tell us the truth," I said.
"Your dad was about to leave the office one night when this girl showed up. She was sixteen, a runaway, and about to give birth," she explains. "He delivered her baby, and he gave her a place to stay, but a few days later, she disappeared. And there you girls were."
I cast my eyes down at the floor and got up to stand by Elena.
"Your parents were trying so hard to have a baby," Jenna continued. "I-it just wasn't happening. All Miranda ever wanted was to be a mom."
"Well, why were our parents' names on the birth certificates?" Elena asks.
"Your dad was a doctor, Elena. He took care of it," she says. "They didn't wanna lose you two, so they kept it quiet, told as few people as possible, but if anyone ever wanted proof, they had documentation."
"What else do you know about her? The girl?" I ask.
"Just her name. Isobel."
With out saying a word, Elena and I turn to go get ready. Once I was done, I headed over to the Boarding House.

Salvatore Boarding House
Daamon' P.O.V
I was sitting at a desk in the library, jotting down names of the Founders of Mystic Falls when Stefan walks into the library, holding something behind his back.
"You got the hair right," I comment on the 50's hairstyle."
I go back to writing down the names when Stefan drops a journal down on the desk in front of me.
I look at him. "Why are you bringing me dad's journal?"
"Cause you were looking for it."
"And why would I want it?" I ask as I continued to write down names.
"Gee, I don't know, Damon," Stefan begins sarcastically, "maybe you wanna do a little bit of posthumous bonding. Go ahead. Enjoy it. Read it. I have. Nowhere in it does it say anything about Katherine, or the tomb, or how to open it."
I retrieve the journal from the end of the desk and fliped through the pages.
"I'm not surprised. Man could barely spell his own name," I mumble.
"I'm really sorry that it won't be of any help with your diabolical plan, the sequel," Stefan jokes and I smirk.
"You know, I could help you."
"You? Help me? Aw, I don't know. Seems a little unnatural."
"I'll do anything to get you out of this town, even release Elizabeth," Stefan promises.
"What about the other 26 vampires?"
"No, no, no. They can't come," Stefan says. "They have to stay put, but Elizabeth, I would consider that."
"What are you doin'? Hmm? What's your angle?" I demand.
"Think about it."
"Why would I trust you?"
"See that's your problem, Damon," Stefan You apply all of your shortcomings to everybody else. If history's any indication, there's only one liar among us."
Stefan grimaces at me, pats the journal, and leaves the room. I hear the front door open and then close.
A few moments later there is a knock at the door and I get up to answer it but a beautiful burnet wearing a red dress with black polka dot, and a black sash around her waist comes in.
I just stared at her. That's all I could do. She is so beautiful.
"What?" Adrie asks. "Is there something wrong with my hair or my dress?"
"No," I shake my head. "You're... You look really nice."
"Thanks. Are you going to get changed?"
"No. I already lived through the 50s-worst decade-and you're lucky I agreed to attend it with you," I say as I go back to writing down names.
"Oh." Her tone sounded sad. " I'll meet you there then."
"No, I'm taking you," I protest.
"Damon, if you don't want to, you don't hav-"
Stefan's phone begins to ring and it cuts Adrie off. I walk over to it and pick it up, seeing that it's Elena.
"Stefan's phone. How may I help you?" I ask.
"Where is he?" Elena ask anxiously.
"He's on his way to you. Forgot his phone," I reply.
Elena sighs with relief. "Oh, thank God. This compass was spinning. Stefan must be here. Thank you."
"You're welcome," Damon says and hangs up.
When I turn back to Adrie, I see that she is gone.

Adrie's P.O.V
When I walk into the house, I see that Stefan and Elena are sitting on the couch.
"What happened?" I demanded.
"That pizza guy is a vampire," Elena replies. "He's the one I hit."
"I knew it!" I exclaimed.
"Well, I called Damon," Stefan says.
"Oh, f-"
"Why did you leave?" Damon asks as he comes into the house
"That's not important right now." I sigh. "The vampire that Elena and I hit, he attacked her."
"How did he get in?" Damon questions.
"He was invited in."
"He posed as a pizza delivery guy last night," I replied.
"Well, he gets points for that," Damon mumbles. "Did he say what he wanted?"
"No. He was too busy trying to kill me," Elena retorted.
Stefan looks at Damon. "And you have no idea who this is?"
"No," Damon denies.
From the look on Stefan's face he looked unconvinced.
"Don't look at me like that," Damon rolls his eyes. I told you we had company."
"You think there's more than one?" Elena asks with wide eyes.
"We don't know," Damon admits.
Damon sits on the arm of the couch and I stood by him.
"Damon, he was invited in," Stefan says slowly.
Damon nods his head slowly, understanding what Stefan is hinting at. I knew what we had to do: we have to kill him.
"Then we go get him tonight," I say and then turned to Elena. "You up for it?"
"What do I have to do?" She asks.
"Let your boyfriend take you to the dance. We'll see who shows up," Damon says as Damon stands up.
"That's a bad idea," protests Damon.
"Till we get him, this house isn't safe. For anyone who lives in it. It's worth a shot," Damon replies.
"I'll do it," Elena says with a nod.
Stefan looks anxious, but Damon nods his head, agreeing. Elena grabs Stefan's hand in her own and looks at him.
"I'll be with the three of you. I'll be safe," she says with a smile.
Stefan nods and looks up at Damon, who shrugs his shoulder. They look at me and I place my hands on my hips.
"Fine. Let's go."

When we got to the dance, students of Mystic Falls are dressed in their best '50s getups and dancing to 'This Magic Moment'.
I scan the dance and I see Caroline and Bonnie are dancing together on the dance floor. Elena and Stefan, arms linked, walk into the dance.
Damon links arms with me and we look around the dance floor for any sign of danger. I see Mr. Saltzman is looking directly at Damon but Damon doesn't know it. We walk away from the door when Jenna makes her way to Mr. Saltzman.
Elena and I went to the punch bowl while Stefan and Damon talked. While I got a cup, Elena nervously fidgeted with her earring. Caroline and Bonnie approached us with smiles.
"Having fun?" Elena asks.
"No, but this took about two hours, so I'm at least staying half of that," Caroline responds.
Caroline, Elena, and I laugh and Bonnie looks off into the distance. I follow her gaze and I see that she's staring at Damon.
"What's Damon doing here?" She asks with narrows eyes.
Elena, Caroline, and I turn to look at Damon, who is standing with Stefan. We turn back around.
"I invited him, but he wanted to come. I promise. He'll behave," I says.
"So you're into Damon now?" Caroline asks me.
"No, but if Elena's gonna be with Stefan, then I have to learn to tolerate Damon. It's not like I can kill him," I say.
Bonnie was still staring at Damon. "There's a thought."
"Mmm. I'll help."
Caroline and Bonnie clink their glasses together. Elena looks down and I look away, trying hard not to smile at our friends' comments.
Bonnie, Caroline, and I are still mingling around the punch bowl when Damon approached us.
"Hi, Bonnie. Wanna dance?" Damon asks.
From the face Bonnie made, she would rather die than dance with Damon.
"I'm out of here."
Bonnie and Caroline look at him with disgust. She starts to walk away but Damon blocks her with his body.
"Please give me another chance," Damon pleads.
Bonnie doesn't respond and moves around Damon, walking away from him. Caroline glares at Damon.
"Back off, Damon," she warns.
Caroline follows Bonnie and Damon and I watch them leave. When Stefan and Elena saw, they approached us.
"Where did they go?" Elena asks.
"I don't know," Damon replies as beckons a hand to the retreating girls.
"What did you say to them?" Stefan asked.
"I was perfectly polite," Damon replies and then turns to Elena. "Elena...Would you like to dance?"
I couldn't help but look at Damon with a hard look.
"I would love to," she replies but then turns to Stefan. "May I have this dance?"
Stefan lends her his arm and she takes it. Elena looks up Damon with a devilish smile and he rolls his eyes.
When they got to the dance floor, Stefan twirls Elena around and pulls her into him. Elena wraps her arms around his neck, smiling brightly, as they sway to the music.
I look at Damon, waiting for him to ask me to dance, wanting him to ask me to dance but he never did. Damon sighs and I look away, my eyes watering and my throat tight.
I really did not want to cry because I didn't want Damon to see me cry, I didn't want him to know how madly I am in love with him (even though he knows), and I didnt want to smudge my makeup.
"Do you want a drink?" He asks.
I glance at Elena and Stefan and watched how happy they looked to be dancing together.
"Adrie, did you hear me? I asked if you wanted a d--"
"Yeah, I heard you the first time. No, I don't want a drink," I say and walked away, leaving a the gym.
When I look back Elena and Stefan, they are still on the dance floor. Elena still has her arms wrapped around Stefan's neck and Stefan has his hands placed on her hips.
When I finally came back into the gym, after I got my purse with a small bottle of alcohol in it, I see Damon dancing with another girl. I feel anger bubble in me as I walked over to Elena and Stefan, who was standing next to the punch bowl.
"You really can't take him anywhere, can you?" Elena asks Stefan about Damon with a laugh.
"Uh, no," Stefan laughs.
I get a cup of punch and pulled out the alcohol and poured it into the punch.
"What is that?" Elena asks as she looks at me. I sip the drink.
"Alcohol with punch. What else?" I ask.
"What's wrong?" Stefan asks.
"Nothing, it's -" I look across the floor I see a guy standing in the far back with a hoodie. "Stefan, the back corner."
Stefan and Elena looks at the corner I was talking about and they see the guy.
"Get Damon," Stefan commands.
I almost protested but I decided that we didn't have the time for that and it was my sisters life on the line.
As Elena and I walk across the dance floor searching for Damon. Elena's cell phone rings and she takes it out of her pocket and answers it.
"Hello, Elena," I hear a guy say sinisterly.
Elena pauses on the floor, terrified.
"Here's what you're going to do," the guy continues. "There's an exit door behind you. You and your sister have five seconds," he says.
Does he not know that I'm a vampire. Well, if you go bead to head, he might have a hundred plus years on us.
"No," Elena says.
"Or your brother dies," he threatened.
Elena and I look over at the punch bowl where Jeremy is serving punch. Elena sees Noah standing near him, on his phone with Elena.
"I can snap his neck so fast I bet there's not even a witness. Now, start walking," he commands.
Elena and I start to back up towards the door.
"Don't you dare touch him," Elena says to the guy.
"Keep walking. Through the door," he says.
Elena and I kept walking backwards across the floor, watching the vampire walks past Jeremy. Worriedly, we continued to watch him, but he passes Jeremy without even touching him. Elena hangs up her phone and runs out the gym.
Elena and I run down the corridor, looking behind her to see if vampire is following. We turn into another corridor and comes to a set of doors.
She attempts to open the doors but they are chained shut. We turn back around and sees the vampire walking calmly towards us. We rush down a different corridor and opens the door to the cafeteria. We run across the room and tries to open another set of doors but they too was locked.
Across the room, the vampire flings open the set of double doors and before Elena can move, he vamp-speeds towards her.
Elena attempts to bolt but the vampire grabs her by her hair and Elena screams and struggles to get away.
With my vampire face, I look at him and he throws Elena across a table. I go forward with my vampire speed but he pushes me up against the wall.
"I didn't know you were a vampire. "Oh, well."
He jams his fist in my chest and gripped my heart. He started to tug but then Elena stabs him and he backs away.
His hands comes up to my head and then twisted.
Damon's P.O.V
"Hey, dickhead," I say when Stefan and I came into the cafeteria with a stake in hand.
The vampire looks back at me and Stefan.
"Nobody wants to kill you. We just wanna talk," I lie.
I see Adrie is lying on the floor with a giant blood stain on her dress. The vampire smiles at me and rushes back towards Elena. I grab him and throw the stake to Stefan, who grabs it and stakes him in the stomach.
The vampire grunts and falls to his knees. I walk over to Adrie, picked her up, and threw her over my shoulder and walked over towards Elena and Stefan so we can interrogate the vampire.
"Now you feel like talkin'?" Stefan asks.
"Screw you," the vampire retorts.
Stefan digs the stake in deeper, which causes the vampire to groan in pain.
"Wrong answer. Why are you doing this?" Stefan repeated.
"Because it's fun."
Stefan digs the stake in a little bit more and he groans.
"What do you want with Elena and Adrie?" Stefan asks.
"They look like Katherine and Elizabeth."
My eyes widen in shock and so does Stefan's and Elena's
"You knew Elizabeth?" I ask with wide eyes.
"Oh. You thought you were the only ones," he laughs and then gasps. "You don't even remember me."
I lean in closer to him. "Tell me how to get in the tomb. Hmm?"
"No."
Stefan leans back down and drives the stake in deeper and the vampire growls.
"The grimoire," he gasps.
"Where is it?" I ask.
Stefan drives the stake in deeper and he gasps in pain.
"Check the journal," he quickly says "The journal. Jonathan's journal. Jonathan Gilbert's."
I lay Adrie's body on one of the tables and grimaced.
"Who else is working with you?" Stefan questions.
Before the guy could answer, I hear a loud noise and my head turned on that direction.
"Who else is there?" I ask as I turn back to the vampire.
"No. You're gonna have to kill me," he laughs.
I look at Stefan, rolled my eyes, and nodded my head. Stefan removes the stake from Noah's stomach, only waiting a moment before staking the vampire in the heart. Elena gasps in shock and the vampire falls to the floor and begins to desiccate.
"What do we...how are you gonna find the others now?" Elena asks.
"He had to die."
"But...
"Elena," Stefan stops her, "he's been invited in."
We hear a door open and we see Alaric coming through one of the door's windows. Stefan looks at me.
"Go. I got this," he says.
I walk out of the cafeteria as I take one more look at Adrie. Stefan helps Elena get Adrie. I turn the corner and I see the history teacher. I vamp speeds in front of Alaric and Alaric stops abruptly.
He cleared his throat. "Hey."
"What were you doing?" I ask as I compel him.
"Looking for Ms. Hilden," he replies.
"Why are you in Mystic Falls?"
"I got a job as a teacher."
"Do you know what I am?" I asks as I dig deeper.
"You're my student's brother."
"Is everything you're telling me the truth?"
"Yes," he replies in a flat voice.
"Then forget we had this conversation." I walk away.
I see Stefan is leaning up against the doorway and he faces me.
"Did Elena take Adrie home?" I ask.
"Yeah." He replies with a sigh.
"There's no way that idiot was workin' alone," I say as I cross my arms and sighed.
"You are," Stefan replies with a straight face.
I give Stefan a face and he game me a small smile.
"So the grimoire..." He continues. "That was Emily's, right? That's what you need to reverse the spell. When the founding families burned her, they took her things, and you were hoping that dad's journal would tell you where it is."
"Look at you puttin' the pieces together. Good for you," I mock. "I was half-right. Well, it's out there now. Let the games begin."
"My offer still stands," he reminds me.
"Yeah, with some hidden caveats, no doubt," I reply.
"No. Nothing hidden about it. No lies. No deception," he says. "I'm there when you open up that tomb, you and Katherine go, and the other 26 vampires die."
"If I agree?"
"I'll help you."
I narrow my eyes at him. "Why should I trust you?"
"Because I'm your brother," he replied with a smile.
"No," I shake my head, "that's not gonna cut it."
"Because I want you gone," he says in a matter of fact voice.
I pause for a moment, thinking if this is an acceptable reason to trust him. But then I started to think about Adrie. I knew she was wanting me to ask her to dance and I knew that it had hurt her I didn't.
"Okay."
Stefan nods, sealing the terms to our agreement. That was my choice: Elizabeth over Adrie. As Stefan walks away, I feel an uneasy feeling set inside of me.

Elena's P.O.V
I sat on the couch, pulling my scarf through her hands while I watched Adrie, who is lying next to me. Stefan is in the kitchen making tea for me and Adrie.
"Doing okay?" He asks.
I turn and look at him. "Is it weird if I say yes?"
"Is it true?"
"I should feel more upset or scared or something, but I..." I pause for a brief moment to search for the words. "...feel kind of exhilarated."
"It's the adrenaline. You'll crash soon enough," he replies as he walks back into the living room with the teas.
"Yeah, I guess. I fought back tonight. It felt good," I say proudly as I smile.
"I wish you didn't have to fight at all."
Still..." I trail off with a shrug.
Stefan sits down next to me and hands me the mug of tea which I gratefully takes. I put the mug to my lips to take a sip. Stefan turns to me and places his hand on me leg.
"I need to tell you something, and I don't know how you're gonna feel about it."
I pull the mug away from my mouth and looked at him with concern.
"What?" I ask.
"I told Damon that I'd help him get into that tomb to get Elizabeth back." He confessed. "But it was a lie. I let him believe that he could trust me."
"Well, then why would you be worried about telling me?"
Stefan looks at an unconscious Adrie and sighs. "Because he can be very persuasive, and you three have bonded lately."
"That doesn't mean I trust him," I reply with a scoff. "It's gonna take a lot more than just a road trip and a rescue for me to forget who Damon is and everything he's done."
"Adrie doesn't feel the same, I think," Stefan sighs.
"I don't know," I shrug.
"I don't wanna be his enemy, Elena, but I can't let him do it," Stefan continued.
"Then don't, and I'll help you, whatever it takes," I promised. "Okay?"
"Okay. Come here."
Stefan wraps his arms around me and pulls me in. I snuggled into Stefan's shoulder and moved my head to kiss him but stopped when I heard Adrie moan.
"Oh, hey, Stefan. What did I miss?" She asks as she looks around and stretches.
Stefan and I look at each other and we laughed.
