You're Undead to Me

I blink and I'm standing in front of Damon. I couldn't help but smile as I walk to him.
"You know, a beautiful lady like you should not smoke," he says.
I raise an eyebrow. "What? Damon, I don't smoke any more."
He takes something out of my hands and I become angry.
"Give them back," I command but then I shake my head. "Wait a minute."
I blink and I notice I'm in a room I've never been in before and I'm in a hospital gown. I look over and I see Stefan in front of me.
"Stefan? Why am I in here?" I ask. "Last night I..."
"Look, Adrie..." Stefan interjects, "...there is really no easy way to tell you this but, I'm a vampire and so is my brother. And so will you too."
"What?" I ask as I raise an eyebrow. "What do you mean. Where am I?"
"You're at my house," he replies softly. "Look. Watch."
I watch his face. His eyes become bloodshot and black veins appear underneath them and when he began to talk, I saw fangs.
I look at him with horror and everything goes black.

I was walking home late at night when my phone began to ring. Pulling out of my pocket, I see Mom on the screen.
"Hey, mom," I answer.
"Where are you. Its dark out."
"A couple blocks away," I laugh. "I'll be home soon. I prom--"
"Katherine," I hear a guy says.
I look up to see a guy with raven black hair and ice blue eyes staring at me with a hopeful smile.
"Hello?" Mom asks.
"I'll be home," I say and hang up.
I put my phone in my pocket as I turn to see if someone was behind me and the guy was talking to them and not me.
"Um... I'm Adrianna," I say. "You must got me confused with someone else."
"I guess I did. I'm Damon, by the way," the guy says with a smile.
"It's a little creepy you are here all alone, Damon."
"You're one to talk," he retorts with a playful smile. "Can I walk you to your house?"
"Why? It's Mystic Falls. Nothing ever bad happens here," I respond. Bit as I realized I was being rude, I clear my that. "That's sweet of you Damon. Yes, I would love for you too."
Damon holds out his arm and I hook mine through and we begin to walk. Before we got close to my house, he turns to me.
"Forget about this. I can't having people knowing I'm in town just yet."

I wake up and I'm lying in a bed in a different room. Stefan comes in holding a glass with something in it. I could smell the sweet fragrance from where I was sitting and I need to fast that.
"What is that?"
"What you want," he responds. "And what you need."
As he got closer, my gums ached and my mouth watered at the scent. He hands it too me and I look at him.
"I'm a vampire now?" I ask.
"If you drink that, you are," he replies.
"And if I don't?"
"You die. But for good."
I nod my head. "Where is Damon?"
"Why? He did this to you, Adrie," Stefan says. "Elena doesn't even know about us."
"Oh, my God," I say as my eyes go wide in realization. "Where does Elena think I am?"
"With a sick friend's grandmother," he replies. "I will teach you everything and tell you everything, but first... You need a day light ring. To walk in the sun."
Stefan hands me the glass and walks out. I sniff it and with out another second of hesitation, I down it. I feel my gums ache and then a steering pain. I run into a large bathroom in the room and look into the mirror.
Fangs replaced my normal human canines.

Three days later

I wake up to the sound of someone coming up the stairs. With my vampire speed, which I found to be pretty fun, I get up and go to my closet.
"Adrie, time for-- Oh," Elena says when she sees that I am up.
"Yep," I smile as I pop the 'p'.
She gives me a weird look as she closes the door. Since I am a new me, I decided to put on a pair of skinny jeans, a dark red silk strapless shirt and a black leather jacket with black pumps.
Letting my natural super curly hair take place, I even do my makeup a little bit darker that the natural, earthy makeup I usually do.
As I use my speed to get down the stairs, I hear Elena and Jenna talking.
"Haven't you called him?" Jenna asks.
"Nope. Not going to either," Elena responds with a sigh.
I knew they were talking about Stefan. I sigh. If only if it was so easy to tell them that Stefan was trying to help his brother to be a good vampire and that I too am a vampire. But its not easy.
"And you're ok with everything?" Jenna asks with concern.
"No, I'm not ok with any of it.But I'm not gonna cry about it, either. You know, I was going to write in my diary this morning and then I thought, what am I going to write?" She asks with a scoff. "Honestly, I'm not gonna be one of those pathetic girls whose world stops spinning because of some guy."
"Ok, then," Jenna laughs.
"I'll be fine," Elena says with a sure voice.
I take this opportunity to strut in like it was no big deal. I could feel their eyes on me but I pretended not to notice.
"Okay, what is with you?" Elena asks. "For the past two days you've been really weird."
"I'm happy, Elena," I respond as I get an apple. "I'm a new me. Any way, gotta go to school. Don't want to be late now do I?"
Aunt Jenna and Elena gives each other a look as I leave. Using my new speed, which I'm pretty sure I mentioned that I love, I got to school pretty quickly.

"Unbelievable. It's like nothing happened," I hear Elena say as i walked up to them.
Bonnie and Elena was watching Caroline.
"She's in denial," Bonnie says.
I go to open my mouth to say something but Stefan walks up to Elena, Bonnie, and I.
"Hey."
"Hey. You know, I gotta go. Be somewhere right now," Bonnie awkwardly says and walks away quickly.
I pretended to act like I was trying g to find something in my locker while Elena and Stefan talked.
"I'm so sorry I haven't called," Stefan apologized.
"No worries. I'll live," she retorts.
"I was dealing with Damon.
"And did you...deal with Damon?"
I wanted to slap Elena across the face. But also Stefan because I love Damon and he won't let me let him out and I have to talk to him.
But Elena also needs to be understanding that there's things Stefan wants to tell her but its also not the time for that just yet.
"Yes. Yeah."
"For four days?" She pressed.
"You have every right to be upset with me," Stefan replies with a reasoning voice. "But can I explain it all to you? Please.
"Sure. When?"
"I gotta be home after school, but The Grill, around four o'clock?" Stefan tried.
"Ok," Elena says.
"Thanks."
I shut my locker and Caroline walks up to us
"Stefan, where is Damon?" She all but demands. "He has some serious apologizing to do."
"He's gone, Caroline," he replied calmly.
Caroline's face fell "When is he coming back?"
"He's not coming back. I'm sorry." And with that, Stefan hurried away, leaving only me, Elena and Caroline.
Caroline looks at the ground, her eyes showing sadness.
"This is a good thing, Caroline," Elena assures her as she touches her shoulder.
"I know that," she says with a forced voice.

When I arrived back at the school with Elena, I was wearing a red bikini top with denim shorts covering the matching bottoms. We found Caroline and saw she was minding the money.
"You're here," she smiles. "Now, friend discounts. No freebies. No pay ya laters. We are not running a charity here."
"No we are not," Elena mocks but Caroline doesn't notice.
Stefan walked up to us and Caroline watches him and Elena.
"Hi," Stefan smiles.
"Hey!" Elena responds.
"The event is called sexy suds, you know," Caroline says as she folds her arms and then walks away.
"Did we just get scolded?" Stefan asks.
"And judged, yeah."
"I'm gonna go over there with Matt and Bonnie," I say.
As I walked over to Matt I see he is watching Elena and Stefan. I felt really bad for him. But now that I'm a vampire, I kind of pity Matt. He really did love Elena.
"Uh-uh, no," I say. "None of that tortured pining stuff."
"I'm just observing," Matt lies and I look at Bonnie with a roll of my eyes and a smile.
A boy drives up gets out of the car.
"Oh. Tiki. this one's yours," Bonnie says.
"Why do I always get the homely ones?" Tiki complains.
I grit my teeth at her rude comment. I open my mouth to say something but Tiki kept on going.
"Just to be clear, your car's a P.O.S. I mean, we can wash it, but it's still a P.O.S."
"You don't have to be rude," Bonnie says.
"Rude is uglying up the road with that junk," she retorts.
Obviously mad, the guys gives Tiki a dirty look and walks off. I wanted to rip her head off. Just then, water from the bucket comes up and splashes her and I laugh and look at Bonnie and I see her fixated on it with a neutral look.
So it is true? Little Bonnie Bennett is a witch. Who would've guessed.
"Whoa! What the hell?" Tiki shrieks
"Wet and wild, Tik." Matt laughs.
I look across the parking lot an I see Elena and Stefan talking. I move my hair behind my ear and washed the car I was at and listened to what they were talking about.
"I noticed that Damon has one, too," Elena was saying. "And the stone looks like the one Adrie has in her ring. Is there a story behind it?"
"Yeah, it's the family crest from the Italian renaissance," Stefan explains.
My phone beeps. I wipe my hands on my shorts to dry them before I take my phone out. I go numb from the name on my screen.
Damon: Tell Stefan to be ready, Pretty one. I want my ring back as well.
Me: Damon, don't do anything stupid.
Me: Damon?
Me: Damon!?!
I look around and I see that Stefan is talking to Matt and Elena is gone with Caroline.
"Bonnie," I say as I turn to her. "Where is Caro--"
When I say that she was gone, I said some choice words under my breath. Using my vamp speed, I run to the Salvatore boarding house and ran down to the basement where I saw Zach dead on the floor.
"Zach, no!" I cry.
Behind me, I heard footsteps and I quickly turn around and stand up. Damon rushed to me and pushed my head into the wall and everything goes black.
