To Seek what is Not Existing

The thing which I fervently seek

                          
Is permanently out of reach.

                          
It is a curse, indeed as such 

                          
To pine for something not existing.

                          
How can you satisfy a craving

                          
For a thing not of this world?

                          
I do not know, but for now

                          
I stalk it, ever closer, ever farther.
