Today, I play the role of hermit
Locked away in my room
Whilst the cogs and gears of the great world-machine
Revolve around outside my chosen prison
Though some may frown upon such actions,
I ask you:
What is the crime in peace and solitude?
Is it not something we all seek?
So is it not an achievement
That I have found it, shut inside
These four walls today?
Even if just for an hour more,
It is my turn to play the role of hermit.
