"Ford are ya sure that thing's really asleep? I-I think you should hurry..." Fiddleford said in a very panicked tone which made Ford start to feel bad for dragging him along on this investigation. "Fidds, I promise, you are 100% safe. There is no need to worry. He's fast asleep." Ford went to put his hand on Fiddlefords shoulder when a sudden ear piercing alarm came from the backpack Fiddleford was carrying. "What!? I thought I deactivated that!" Ford started to panic and rustled through Fiddlefords backpack. "Uhhh... FORD!" Fiddleford shouted as the Gremloblin started to approach them both. "Fidds!" Ford tried to hold on to Fiddlefords arm as the beast picked the southerner up as if he were nothing more than a twig, but the Gremloblin was much stronger than Ford and pulled Fiddleford out of Fords grasp.

"This amazing! No one has ever gotten such an amazing view of this guy!" There he goes again, getting caught up and reckless. "Pardon, buT I DON'T THINK NOW IS THE BEST TIME FOR DRAWIN'!" Fiddleford yelled as the monster held him in his enormous neurotoxin emitting claws and started to stare into Fidds blue eyes, causing the man to go stiff and motionless. Ford frantically looked around for something to throw at the creature. He grabbed his water filled canteen and threw it at the monster, hoping to at least startle it enough to drop Fiddleford, and surprisingly enough, it did. "Huh, tip to future readers, when fighting a Gremloblin, use water..." Just as Ford began to write that tip down and Fidds was still laying on the ground, mostly motionless, the Gremloblin started to grow and gain more spikes and wings, even Ford had to admit it was scary. The Gremloblin let out a ground shaking roar and turned to look at Ford. "NEVERMIND" Ford grabbed Fiddleford into his arms and started running as fast as he could back to their small shack. Once inside he slammed the door shut and laid Fiddleford down on a couch in one of their many study rooms, this one actually had an electron carpet that they had been working on, on the floor. Ford looked out the window to make sure the Gremloblin wasn't following them and then poured a glass of sweet tea for Fiddleford, who was shaking violently. "Hey..buddy, how are you feeling?" Ford sat on the foot rest part of the couch, which was beside where Fiddlefords head laid. Fiddleford didn't respond so Ford did the only thing he knew would calm Fidds down, he held his hand. It took a few minutes but, the shaking calmed down and Fiddleford started to breathe at his normal pace once again. "There we go, see, you're safe now. It's ok, I promise." Ford gently rubbed his thumb on Fiddlefords hand as he held it tightly, not too tightly, just enough to make Fiddleford feel secure. Fiddleford finally managed to look up at Ford, who was smiling so sweetly down at him. Fiddleford gasped "Your research equipment!" he shouted realizing the bag he was carrying that had all of Fords equipment in it fell off when the Gremloblin grabbed him. "Shh, Fidds, it's fine!" Ford smiled brighter, trying to keep Fidds calm. "But it could all be destroyed!" Fidds tried to sit up but was stopped by a surprising and warm embrace from Ford. "What matters is that you're ok, I can just buy more junk, but I could never replace you." Ford said softly in Fidds ear as he hugged him tightly. Fiddleford blushed and he nervously returned the hug. "Thank ya' Ford." Fiddleford said quietly while still in Fords arms. "Now then, let's get you bandaged up, shall we?" Ford pulled away from the hug a smiled a small but content smile.
