the room erupted with noise and students began moving around,
looking for friends to pair up with.
so many people gathered around your tiny desk.
you looked smaller than ever.
they all wanted to be your partner for this project.
i did too.
but you would never choose me over all those people.
if i were in your place,
seated in a tiny chair,
boys and girls, yelling, arguing, screaming proposals,
things they offered to do for me if i worked with them.
i probably would've broken down and had a feat right there.
but you,
you continued to smile,
you throwing your head back and laughing at them,
lightly shaking your head in refusal.
you were like an angel,
so swift and light with every movement,
eyes sparking as you looked into their eyes as you spoke.
your laughter sounded like my favorite song,
delicate and soothing, enough to make me smile.
i tore my eyes away from you to look around the rest of the room.
some girl was sitting alone in the far corner.
i bet she looked a lot like me.
i think i should talk to her.
i'm sorry minji, i'll be talking to her first.
