I KILL TO WRITE

Dear @Sultryforest, an author friend of mine has enlisted me to promote his new book, Silver Screen. The problem is is that he is a sarcastic old bastard and a recluse. Through an unfortunate series of events, my mother cared for his dying mother through her horrific last days. I unwittinly have become the only person he trusts. Spending any time with him is painful, and after reading some of his book, I think he might have been a serial stalker in his younger days, or a child molester at the least.
Now he's asked me to do some intense research but he won't tell me the nature of his business.
@Sultryforest, I fear for my life and think I might end up doing something horrific. I need one favor from you as a friend and fellow writer. If I end up dead, I've sent you the story and I need you to publish it. Please don't come looking for me or try to save me, and don't call the cops until you publish the book. It explains everything.
