Scully's POV
It's 1pm on a Friday and I'm sitting here in my living room reading one of my favorite Stephen King books, 'The Stand.' My husband Alex is probably getting wasted down at the new stripper building they had put in not too long ago. I was told a new neighbor was to come soon or later today, so I guess that's all I'm waiting for.
An hour passed when I saw the moving truck pull in next door. People were exiting their houses to see who the new neighbor is, but I want to be their first. I love to greet new neighbors, so I made a batch of cookies. I grabbed the cookie tray and ran out of my house.
I walked over as soon as the moving employees emptied all of the new neighbor's boxes of stuff. I walked up to the front door and gave the doorbell a ring. The man who opened it took my breath away. Damn, he's good looking. He started to laugh as I realized I had been standing there with my mouth agape for probably several minutes now.
"Uh hi, I'm Dana Scully, I live right next door to you. I made you some cookies."
"Awe thanks, how sweet of you." He took the cookies out of my arms, which rolled my sleeves up and had revealed a giant bruise. I quickly pulled my sleeves down, but he noticed. "Hey, are you okay?"
"Yeah, just some accident happened yesterday cleaning my house." I lied.
"Oh, well be careful." He laughed.
"So I uh, I guess I'll be seeing you around? Maybe you and your wife and my husband and I could go out sometime." He scratched the back of his neck.
"Oh uh, I don't have a wife, or a girlfriend really."
"Oh. That's okay! You can come alone with my husband Alex and I."
"That sounds great, when?"
"Tomorrow at 6?"
"Works for me."
"Great! See you then, bye uh.."
"Fox, Fox Mulder."
"Bye Fox." Cutest name I've ever heard.
Mulder's POV
I closed the door after Dana had left and slid my back against it, falling onto the hard wood floor. She's married? She's so young, like my age. Should've gotten there sooner. At least she considers me her friend and I can't wait until tomorrow.
