Narrators POV

Scully walked down the long corridors of Mulder's apartment building with determination evident on her face; the adrenaline rushing through her body as she merely rushed into the elevator. She clicked the button for lobby and began reaching into her bag for a note she had received earlier that day, she hadn't told anyone about it, not even Mulder.

-Flashback to previously that night -

Before her and Mulder had departed ways after work, before she ran into his arms, she had found a piece of paper stuck into her windshield wipers, unfolding it to reveal a note from none other than Alex himself. He knew. He knew where she was at all times. She mentally kicked herself from letting herself believe it was that easy for him to get away. Tears flooded her eyes but she refused to let them spill and she ran to Mulder wanting to spend one last night with him. She knew what she had to do. She had to face him head on. The note revealed his location and wanting to meet there, the location was in the forest where her and Mulder had their first case consulting Teresa Nemans.

-end of flashback-

Scully paced around the elevator, growing impatient. "I did the right thing, this is my doing, I need to face him, I need this to end." She muttered to herself. Finally, the elevator doors swung open and she hastily walked to her car, setting the note in the passenger seat and driving off. Hours passed as the sun was beginning to rise above the horizon and she found the familiar x Mulder had drawn on the street. She smiled at the memory, remembering how she thought he was completely insane running around trying to find aliens and concluding that night to have been an absence in time. She parked the car, nervousness taking over her determination state. She took a deep breath and began walking into the deep, agonizingly creepy forest.

Ten minutes into the walk, Scully stopped with a halt as she heard faint footsteps getting louder with each step, dry twigs breaking underneath their shoes. She slowly unbuttoned the holsters to her gun.

"Ah ah ah. You won't be needing that now would you?" A familiar voice called out as he stepped out from the shadows, revealing himself. The nervousness disappearing from her face as a smug smile replaced it.

"Hello Alex, nice to know you still think you can boss me around and intimidate me, but I don't care." She says bluntly.

A small hint of shock appeared on his face, eyes slightly widened, but was quickly hidden with his previous look of intimidation.

"Oh honey, if only you knew the power I possess." He smirked. He got closer to Scully and began sniffing her hair. She was not phased. "You still smell so good, dear."

Scully scoffed and backed away. "As if. I'm happily in love, and don't you ever think I'll EVER get back together with you EVER." She stated, clearly irritated.

"With a fool such as Fox Mulder?! You have more potential than that dimwitted boy who calls himself a man. Come with me and I'll show you how to treat you right." Scully almost choked hearing those words, he nearly killed her before, what does he know about treating a woman right?!?!

Alex could see the blood boiling in her features as she scowled at him. "Never." She deadpanned. "And don't you ever speak of him that way again."

"So be it." He hastily jolted towards her pulling out a dagger in hand. "I'll show you real pain then." With this, Scully pulled out her gun and shot at him, ducking his previous blow to her chest with his blade. He blocked the shot with one quick side-step. Scully was shocked, but continued to shoot at him.

"Dammit." She murmured to herself as her bullets had been used up. She mentally face palmed herself for not bringing extra. "Fear not, my friends, for I have brought more to play with." She mumbled and in one swift movement she pulled out a dagger tucked into her boot.

Alex lunged at her with his as she lunged back, having as you might say, a sword fight. Alex spun around distractingly and reached out with his dagger, cutting her arm. She winced, but still fought back.

All of the sudden he took a step back. "Not bad, for a girl."

"We are more capable than one puny man might think." She glared at him.

"Scully!" Scully's eyes widened as she heard Mulder's voice from a distance turning to the sound of it. Immediately regretting her actions as she winced in pain, turning back to find a dagger logged in her stomach and a grinning Alex.

"Tsk tsk. You should've known better." He growls.

Scully just smiled as she fell to her knees. "So should you." She pulls out her extra dagger without him noticing as she stabs his knee. He fell onto the hard ground, yelling in pain.

"What the hell?!" He screamed as her wound was glowing bright golden as it healed within an instant. She chuckled.

"So that's new. I guess my abduction paid off." She smiled down at him wickedly. His eyes were wide and mouth agape.

"H-how? THE ALIENS DID THIS?! You sound as crazy as him?!" He yelled before belching out another painful screech.

"I didn't say aliens, but whoever abducted me gave me these abilities." Scully said with a glare. "Now where was I?"

"You were just about to leave me be, you nonhuman monster." Scully only let out a small laugh as she took the dagger and threw it into his head.

"Ah yes that's what I was doing." Scully said before becoming lightheaded and falling beside him.

"Scully!" Mulder, who was standing by a tree to witness the events unfold, too shocked to even mutter a word, had finally broke out of his trance running to Scully's side. She fluttered her eyes just a little bit before whispering the words, "I'm okay I'm okay, love." She smiled up at him before closing her eyes yet again.
