Coming across a line of police vehicles and ambulances, they parked on the side of the road. Mulder got out first and waited for Scully to stand by his side. She stood next to him and they began to walk towards the scene where the 12 abductees were surrounded being questioned and clothed.

They strolled past police officers, showing their badges every now and then, and soon came up to one of the abductees who was not being questioned at the moment.

"Sir, could I ask you a few questions?" Mulder asked him. Scully gave him a quick nod and turned toward the man, trying to identify any abnormal markings on his body.

"Uh, sure." The man responded.

"Where were you the last year? Do you remember anything? Any bits or pieces?" Mulder questioned.

"I..I remember a bright light and then everything went blank and the next thing I knew I was in the woods a year later. Crazy." This man looked like he was in his early twenties. He had long, greasy hair and his eyes were a little red. "I know that they did tests on me because I have these injection marks from like a hypodermic needle or something."

"Sir, did you take any drugs, or do you take any drugs?" Scully stepped in.

He looked at her up and down and winked. "No ma'am."

Scully frowned, but then grinned when she saw the look on Mulder's face.

"Agent Mulder, could I talk to you for a moment?" She pulled him over to the side of the road.

"What is it, Scully?" He looked down at her and smiled lopsidedly.

"Well I had this vision in my head when that man was talking about a bright light and tests." She began.

"Yeah?"

"Well I think something like that had happened to me. When I think about it, I don't have a clear remembrance of these past few months."

"Are you positive?" He asked her. His face lit up with surprise.

"Yeah, I think...I think maybe you're right." He grabbed onto her shoulders and looked straight into her eyes, causing her to look up at him after having a staring contest with the concrete ground.

"Scully, I'm gonna help you remember."

"What did they do to me?" She asked him, fear evident in her eyes.

"We're gonna find out, I promise." He smiled sincerely at her and she half smiled back at him.

The man they interviewed a little while ago skipped towards them, passing Mulder and took Scully's hand. Her eyes widened and she looked at Mulder with an eyebrow raised.

"Agent, I'd like to ask if you would like to go on a date with me?" He offered, and she yanked her hand away from his.

"First of all, that is highly inappropriate in this type of situation, and second of all, I am currently involved with somebody else." Mulder's eyebrows furrowed even more.

"Sorry, ma'am." The strange man walked away.

"Um, you're currently involved with someone else?" Mulder finally asked.

"Yeah, why?" She felt bad that she had to share this information with him, knowing that he probably had a deep connection with her before the accident. It was completely unfair to Mulder and the man considered her 'boyfriend' when she doesn't even remember how he got into her life and is in no way in love with him. She'll have to deal with that later, but for now she would like to see how much Mulder really cared.

Looking as if someone had shot him in his stomach and is torturously killing him slowly. "Uh, what's his name?" He barely choked out.

"Steve." Scully deadpanned.

"Steve, uh yeah. Cool." Mulder scratched the back of his head and shook it.

Scully decided to stop the teasing. "Mulder, it's fine. Don't worry about me. Steve is just another person I don't even remember coming into my life and I don't even love the guy! I mean, I don't know why you're acting so strange about it even if I did have a boyfriend. We were never an item, were we? I don't know if I'm that person. I still have doubts, but I'm just going to go home, deal with Steve, and take a nice, long, hot bath and think things over because I am deeply confused." She started walking to their car, but stopped and turn to face him again. "Oh, and there's no x file here, there's nothing. These people are a cult of weed smokers who probably live in the woods by choice and have amnesia." She huffed out a breath, crossed her arms, and made her way into the passenger seat.

Mulder stood there and finally blinked a few times, trying to register and take in all of what she had just said to him. "It'll take time, but she'll get there.." he said to himself, smiling and running to the car.
