"so who is this boy you speak of?" my mom asked.
"which boy? you mean ben?" i asked embarrassed, "he's fine."
my mom look confused at first, but shrugged off what i said. my dad was busy drinking away some of his work problems.
"what about school?" my mom continued.
"my grades are fine, everything's great."
i was almost true to my word. i wish i hadn't ditched sam. i told him the truth, hopefully he understood, but the opportunity to meet him was long gone until he actually decides to reveal himself again.
