"C-Chai?" I mumbled putting my hand on the glass... I could hardly recognize him. One of his eyes was swollen shut, his face and body were littered with cuts and bruises and he looked like he had been through hell
"Holy fuck Chai" I exclaimed putting both hands on the thick, cold glass. He slowly swam up to the glass and put his hands where mine were
"That bastard, I'm gonna kill him" I said under my breath, the second I saw my father he was dead. I looked at Chai behind the glass and yet again I couldn't recognize him but this time, I was looking at his eyes. His normally bright brown eyes were a dull and dark which instantly caused guilt to shoot through my chest
"I did this... I'm so sorry Chai" I apologized softly to him, I looked back up at him and saw it looked like he was crying but no tears were escaping as he was underwater. He dug the heel of his palms into his eyes and his body shook, all I wanted to do was hold him tight but the thick glass between us stopped me
"Please don't cry Chai, I'll get you out of here I promise" I said sternly, he looked up slightly from his hands with begging eyes. I grabbed out my phone and quickly pressed Shelby's number
"Bry what is it?" She asked
"You gotta come in here... it's f-fucking insane" I mumbled dragging a hand through my hair
"Alright just hang on" She said before hanging up, I could hear her walking down the hall before I she gasped
"Holy shit" She mumbled, she rushed over to my side and kneeled down next to me
"Who would do something like this?" She exclaimed with wide eyes
"My parents... thats who" I frowned thinking about them
"My god... he's so skinny and he's got a fucking tag on his tail!" She exclaimed pointing to the fins on the end of his tail. He had a large tag on his tail; the kind of tag that cows have on their ears
"I swear to god I will kill them!" I shouted slamming my fist against the glass
"Bryant stop! You're scaring him!" Shelby scolded me, I looked back at Chai and saw she was right. He looked terrified by my small outburst
"Sorry Chai... we have to get him out of here" I exhaled deeply
"How?" She asked
"My thoughts exactly" I replied dragging my hands down my face, suddenly a thought popped into my head
"What is it?" Shelby asked
"Jamie... Jamie works here he could help us!" I exclaimed, my friend Jamie walked in on Chai when he was in the bath ages ago
"You sure he'd let you in?" Shelby asked
"If he's my true friend, I know he will" I nodded turning back to Chai, I put my hand against the glass again and so did he
"I'm gonna get you out of here alright? Just stay calm alright?" I said calmly, he nodded and gave me a weak smile
"Let's go"
I am soooooooooooo sorry that I haven't updated in ages I'm very good at getting writers block
