The Final Hour

The Room

I woke up at 3 am , I couldn't stop thinking about my lovely daughter. The way she smiled , her persuasive voice and the politeness of her actions. I didn't tell Malesa about the message.

To be frank she didn't know much about me, neither did I. While retiring from the agency I was neutralized they took most of my memories and I was left with some of them. The ACCIDENT which took place with my daughter has been erased from my mind, my gripping stories with African mafias has also vanished.

They left me with a basic idea about myself and how I was an unsuccessful father ( I figured that myself). The time came and my curiosity took over me.

I didn't waste any time and ran towards the Deserted Graveyard ( Sounds creepy but that's where the secret tunnels exist ). A guy with a splendid black suit stood to guide me. I asked him his name but he remained silent. We reached the destination where a machine was kept that's when the suit guy said "The machine is waiting for you". I went close and he instructed me to stand in between the cylindrical compartment.

I followed whatever he said and in a split second I was filled with the confidence of an experienced agent. They didn't give me my memories but my confidence came in like a rolling stone.

I was provided with a black suit and the suit guy directed me to a room with the name HB written on it. It was getting weird for me, a guy who has lived 15 years with no idea of his actions gets to know about his past in few hours. How impromptu was that! Suddenly an image emerged on the walls of the room. It was a virtual video ( Pretty Hi-Tech though) an old man emerged in that video, he smiled and said " Hi mate you'll not remember me but we both were a team and did many missions together."

At that moment my reaction was simple - ' How in this holy world you think I am gonna know you! I guess you should know that some people messed with my brain!' He continued ( it was a recorded message I guess) "Getting to the point brother, your daughter Charolette is on her way to you and she is going to tell you about your past because she insisted us not to taser you with your memories."

I was speechless, I seriously needed to rest, my confidence may be back but I can't handle so much at this instant. My mind was still thinking a lot and was confused but it settled as the door cracked open and there stood someone who's smiling face gave me a blast of positivity....
