I don't believe in soul-mates. The idea that there is only one person out of billions of people is as practical as looking at the world through rose-coloured glasses.

We will find someone, anyone, as average as ever, simple and basic. But that's not bad at all, because it doesn't matter if you're not 100% compatible, and it doesn't matter that there isn't a dramatic love story to show just how much you love each other. And you know why?

Because love itself is so extra-ordinary, it's within reach of our carnal grasp but we won't ever understand its power. How love can turn water into an oasis, how love can heal wounds so deep it reaches China, how love can make you feel so many different emotions all at once, and yet still you know it's "love".

Love can turn something so dull so and lifeless, into ecstatic beauty and passion. It reaches into the depths of humanity and weaves a story that interlocks with every person you once thought was your "soul mate".

Because soul-mates don't exist, we aren't bound forever with someone. It's up to us if we want to make love work.
