"I didn't realize the Shinsengumi had so much paper to look over..." A man from the police force had just dropped off a number of criminal reports happening around the area for the Shinsengumi. Kumiko, unfortunately, was the first one to be seen by the man and had to pick up the 3 foot high paper stack. "I wonder what's worse...carrying these papers or having to read them all?"
"I'd say dropping all of them."
She saw a dark whir of a foot quickly outstretched by her own feet, but it was already too late before she could stop her steps.
"Ow, that really...crap! The papers!" A storm of criminal reports scattered around her endlessly. The amber haired girl troubledly (i dont think thats a word lol) tried to grab any piece of white that caught her eye. Who was the jerk that tripped her?! (Pretty obvious:P)
"Oiiii, Kumiko-saaaan. You're really clumsy. Are you that desperate for an early Christmas? A bunch of white papers in replacement for snow? You're really the cheapscate, Kumiko-saaan."
The words from the monotone voice that echoed through Kumiko's ears didn't hurt her. It didn't inflict any mental pain, nor did it damage her heart. It annoyed her.
"Kumiko! What a mess! Here, I'll help you out..." Sougo's new love, Mari, bent down beside his old love and assisted her in picking up the criminal reports.
Kumiko couldn't help but to examine her aura. The brightly lit girl picked up each paper with grace and maintained a peaceful face. She really was a beautiful girl, maybe the usual kind-hearted one that you'd see in movies.
A displeased sneer came onto Sougo's face as he looked at the two together below him. That was a view he didn't enjoy. Not able to take it anymore, he snatched up Mari's wrist and dragged her away.
"Wait, Sougo-kun! She's still---!"
"Just come on."
The poor girl who'd been left alone to pick up the papers let out a sigh. Maybe this really was Sougo's true form: a sadist. She liked his 'treat-her-like-a-princess form' a lot better, though at the same time she had no intention of wanting to be with her old light. Just recently, Kumiko found something brighter.
"Criminal reports are flying everywhere! When I find out who's responsible, I'll make you commit seppuku! Got it punk?!!"
The anger of the voice went down Kumiko's spine. Crap, she was dead. The voice totally known as the demon vice chief's got closer by the second as she hurriedly tried to grab all of them.
"D>A<mmit, commit seppuku!" the black haired man shouted as a paper splatted onto his face while making his way into the entrance of his workplace.
"I'm so sorry Hijikata-sama! I'll pick all of this up in less than a minute!" Kumiko assured him. When her sempai got mad, it was scarier than any woman on her period.
Hijikata Toshiro suddenly stopped his angry rampage and slowly took off the paper from his face. "E-eh, Kumiko? It was you?"
She bowed with her hands flat in front of her while she was on the ground. "Y-yeah, I'm sorry... Please don't make me commit seppuku."
The mayo lover's mouth became tangled and his face uneasy. He dug his hand in his hair. "S-s-seppuku? Wh-what're you talking about? I didn't say that!"
"But you just said..."
He cleared his throat and looked at the rocket in the sky. "Um...I thought it was someone else or maybe Yamazaki. I wouldn't have yelled that if I knew it was you."
DOKI... DOKI... 'Me? What does that mean?'
No, she must be thinking things up. "Th-thanks, Hijikata."
