Draco let out a sigh as he found comfort in Harry's embrace. Minutes passed but Harry still held Draco like a frightened child and for some reason, Draco let him. He enjoyed the attention but most importantly he enjoyed Harry's attention and while he felt safe and secure in the other boys arms, Draco couldn't help but notice how right it felt.

No.

All senses came flooding back to Draco. He pushed the raven haired boy off him. They stood there, both in complete silence, waiting for the other to talk.

"Maybe you should leave?" Draco questioned, breaking the silence.

"Draco-" Harry began but Draco cut him off.

"I can't let this happen again. Just...leave...please" Draco whispered but he was sure Harry had heard the break in his voice. He turned and sat on his bed as he heard the slight creek of the door knob twisting.

There was silence.

"Are you really going to let me leave?" Harry asked. It was faint but Draco heard.

More silence.

"Okay" and with that Draco heard the door open and close leaving him completely alone again.

Confusion flooded Harry's head. What had happened back there? Why did he hug Draco? and most importantly, why did it feel so right?

Harry wiped the tear from his check. He was unable to remember the point in which he started crying but he knew he couldn't face his friends puffy eyed from a rejected hug with Draco Malfoy. He debated going back and talking to Draco but decided against it. Instead he slipped into his room and continued his potions paper, determined to get Draco off his mind.

The door shut surrounding Draco with nothing but the screams of his own thoughts. The slytherin placed his head in his hand and silently sobbed into his palms. Father always told him he should stay away from Potter. There was only one other time the scrawny brunette had left him in tears, first year. Things should be different between them. Things had to be different between them. However, the everburning mark on Draco's arm would never allow them to be friends nethertheless more than friends.

Hold on. Draco sat up straight, confused as to where the thought came from. There was no way he could ever consider doing anything with Potter. Absolutely not. He shook the idea from his head and, with a trembled sigh, put on his cloak and left the room.

Draco kept his head down as he made his way through the common room. He heard the muffled sounds of Harry's friends laughing in the corner but didn't dare raise his head in fear of meeting Potter's eyes. Instead he ignored everyone and made his way to the exit.

Harry saw him though. It was fast and just a glimpse but he saw. He was drawn to Draco in ways he couldn't explain. Hermione was going on about potions but Harry's eyes lingered on the now closing door, debating his next actions.

"Harry...?" Hermione yelled waving her hand in front of his face and snapping him out of his trance.

"Huh?" Harry mumbled. He couldn't focus on potions. He couldn't focus on anything. Well, except the slim blonde who darted past him. Harry closed his text book, much to Hermione's annoyance, and made some excuse before following Malfoys steps out of the common room and into the corridor outside.

Hogwarts was big. Huge in fact, and Harry had let too long pass before he let curiosity and desire win. However, he knew where Malfoy would be. Or at least he could guess. Harry trekked through the halls and up the many stairs leading to the owlery where the blonde sat.

"I told you to leave me alone" Draco whispered.

"And when did I ever listen to you?" There was a smile in his voice that he could tell infuriated Draco. How could he be so calm yet so tense. "May I?" Harry questioned pointing to the space next to Draco. Draco shrugged and Harry sat.

"You're not alone in this Draco, let me help you"

"Stop trying to save me" Draco's voice was harsh but broken. "You can't save me"

"I'm not leaving you here Draco" Harry sighed. Draco frowned in annoyance and buried his head in his hands.

"You wouldn't understand, Potter. You had your opportunity to help me. You rejected"

Harry couldn't help but laugh. "You're not serious right?. First year? Really?"

Draco shook his head and stood up. "Perfect fucking Potter" Draco began to ramble. Most of it was inaudible to Harry but he picked up a few words here and there.

"Draco let me help you"

"NO"

"Draco-"

"I SAID NO. NOW GO"

Adrenaline over took Harry's senses. He had no idea what came over him but suddenly he was reaching out for the other boy's wrist and pushed him towards the wall.

"Potter-" Draco's voice was now filled with terror and strangely anticipation.

"I said let me help you" Harry whispered into the boy's ear before pressing his lips to Draco's.
