Chapter-42

Bruno's POV; !!!

*A few days before the Break Up.

There were a lot of them, I didn't think I'd be able to take everyone down without any of my friends got hurt. Much worse, she'd got pretty hurt if I ever got her involved.

"I've been watching them closely these days and they are planning something, I can tell but I don't know exactly what they're planning." McCartney said. You might be wondering what I am doing with this guy who hurt Alex. No, I couldn't forgive him about that yet but now, we shared the same interest. He was helping his cousin sister, Jade and Jade was helping me. She called yesterday and told me that Jake had been acting weird and he had a few strange guys came over at their home.

"They looks like a gang or something. What do you think?" McCartney mumbled beside me as we were  hiding near this storage building and watched those guys. 

I didn't bother to reply him and continued to wait for something information worthy. Soon enough, a black van pulled up and a much older man in a suit came out, he seemed to be talking on the ph and if he wasn't in front of that building with all these men, he would make an elegant businessman. 

Who followed him behind was Jake who got out of the van as well. He scanned the surrounding first and we quickly ducked our heads making sure he couldn't spot us. A few moments passed and the man in business suit got off his ph and started to conversed with Jake. 

"By the look of it, they seemed to be in a argument." I muttered my thoughts out. 

"Hell sure they were. They always do." McCartney spoke in a matter of fact, looking completely bored. 

I pulled him to the side of the building and pushed him up against the wall while holding him from his neck. "Do you know who is that guy in the suit?" I demanded him. 

He pushed me back slightly, "Dude! chill!" He composed himself pulling his shirt straight, "I knew him of course, he's my uncle. Jade's dad." That's meant Jake's dad too. "And what is he doing here then?"

"How am I supposed to know? He should be in New York doing whatever he –uh do." he replied to me uncertainly. He seemed confused to see him too. 

I resigned myself from questioning him and decided to return my attention back onto the father and son. They were still arguing and now in the state of shouting each other. 

I could almost made it what they were talking about. Jake said something about, 'his friend' and his dad punched him square on his face. "Ouch, that's bad." McCartney groaned beside me, I ignored him and continued to look at the commotion. 

Jake quickly gathered himself up and without sparing a look at his dad, he went inside the building. 

I took that was my queue to leave that place and McCartney followed suit. "You know I am also part of this team and you don't have to treat me like I am an invisible person. I mean I want to be invisible, you know that'd be cool and stuff but this is important things happening here. I am helping you." He pointed out as soon as we walked back to my jeep. 

"Nope, I will never forget what you've done to Alex. And we're not a team." I told him back emphasising the last sentence.

"C'mon man, it was long ago and you see, Alex is now happy with other guy. What's his name again? Oh right! Kevin. I lost her but that's not my point. Jade wants me to help you and you wants to protect your girl, right? So, let me. Let me pay you back. I will help you protect your girlfriend." I stopped walking and let out a frustrated sigh. 

"You want to help? Fine." I told him. His face broke into a bright smile, "That's the Bruno I knew! Aye ay captain!" He jumped and placed his arm around my shoulder in excitement.
