Today is a very emotional day for me
I'm going to visit my mom and dads grave today because today's my moms birthday its just gonna be me and Kalvin we are in the car on our way to the cemetery I really don't wanna go because I hate death my biggest fear other than spiders

I just really don't want to face reality because its hard that both of your parents are dead and they didn't reach past their late thirties I wish they were still here I miss seeing them smile

"Kalani we're here." I nodded we walked to the tombstones with their names on it

"Kalvin I'll let you talk to them first." I said walking away I was gonna see my grandma after this, today is hard for her what mother want their child to leave this earth before them

"I'm done go ahead I'll wait for you." Kalvin spoke in the silences

"Okay." I said walking back to the graves

"Dad I really miss you so much you too mom I really wish you were here I still have a lot to ask you I want to get yelled at by you I want you to tell me right from wrong I wish you were there to comfort me when I cried those nights mom I know its your birthday I should sing happy birthday but I know your favorite song so I'll sing that first." I said I haven't cried yet

I met him outside a hostel door
He said I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours
I know you think it's shifty for a man in his fifties
To be sleeping in a hostel dorm
But I used to be a welder by trade
Used to work by the water where the ships get made
But no ship yard will take me now
My hands are too shaky now
