Skye cautiously sipped her can of Diet Coke as she squashed into the corner of one of Nathan's sofas. Nathan looked over at her and smirked. He shuffled closer to her and she panicked slightly but tried not to show it."Are you scared of me?" Nathan asked her, sensing her resentment. She stayed silent for a moment before replying."N-no," she stuttered. Nathan's smile grew wider as they settled back into an awkward silence. Skye definitely didn't want to be there but she wasn't about to walk home on her own.

"When do your parents get home?" Skye asked. Nathan's smile vanished and he tensed at the mention of his parents. "Don't ask about my parents," he replied through gritted teeth. "S-sorry," she replied. Skye watched as Nathan tried to calm himself.

"We need some beer. Let's go to the shop," he suddenly suggested. Skye looked at him questioningly. "Well, I'm not having you stay here on your own," he replied and winked at her. She managed to crack a smile but hid it quickly.

"I meant, how are you going to buy beer? You're underage," she pointed out. Nathan grinned. "Magic," he whispered and stood up. Skye followed his actions as he put his jacket on and stepped outside of the room. She followed him as he left the flat and locked the door. He held out his hand for her to take and she hesitated but laced their fingers together scared of what he might do if she didn't. Nathan stepped into the lift and pressed the button for the bottom floor. There was an uncomfortable silence between the two of them, well, it was uncomfortable for Skye.

It was a fifteen minute walk to the shop from Nathan's building and Skye's palm was sweating against Nathan's for the whole journey. "I suggest you wait here. You look too young," Nathan told Skye and went inside the shop. Skye rubbed her arms in an attempt to warm them as she looked around at her surroundings. It was dark and eerily lonely. Skye snapped her head round as she heard someone's voice. There were a few lads looking over at her. She didn't like the look of them at all.

One of them strutted over to her and smirked. "What you doing on your own, Babe?" he asked and she frowned. The rest of his group came over and cornered Skye. "You know, it's dangerous to be out at this time of night," he said to her. Skye froze and willed Nathan to come out of the shop as the stranger took a piece of Skye's hair between his fingers and began to fiddle with it.

The group turned around when someone cleared their throat. Nathan stepped around the group so he was stood next to Skye. The stranger let go of Skye's hair and she turned into Nathan's chest. She grabbed a fistful off his black t-shirt as he gave the group a death stare. "Leave her alone," he spat. The group seemed to listen to him as they moved away.

Nathan relaxed a little and looked down at Skye. She looked up at him and stepped away from him. "Sorry," she replied as she flattened his t-shirt. Nathan smirked and took her hand in his. "Back to the flat then," he said and led her away from the shop.

When they arrived back at Nathan's flat Skye went back to her previous position in the corner of Nathan's sofa while he put the beer in the fridge. Nathan smirked when he saw Skye and sat down beside her. She cowered away from him but he lifted her chin so she was looking up at him.

"You're so innocent," he whispered moving closer to her. Skye stayed quiet as Nathan's lips brushed over hers. She was too scared to resist so she just let him do what he liked. "Your parents," Skye tried again. Nathan released her chin and moved away from her. "I said don't ask about my parents," he replied through gritted teeth. But Skye wasn't about to give up. He came into her life without permission and sweet talked her mum so why shouldn't she ask about his life?

"Where are they?" she almost whispered and got up from the sofa. She stood by the sofa unsure of what to do with herself. "Leave it alone," he told her. "Tell me," she continued. At this, Nathan stood up and towered over her. "I said leave it," he spat. Skye was trying her hardest to hide the fact that she was terrified off him. "Why aren't they here?" she asked. Nathan slammed his palms against the wall either side of Skye and she panicked. "P-please don't hurt me," she stuttered and cowered away from him, "I won't ask about them. I'm s-sorry."

"No, don't do that. I won't hurt you," Nathan whispered. Skye looked up at him and saw that he seemed genuinely upset with himself. She cautiously placed her hands on his tensed arms and Nathan sighed. He took his hands off the wall and stepped back from her. Skye's hands slipped off his arms and she felt a little saddened by the loss of contact.

"Are you tired?" Nathan asked her. Skye shrugged and he held out his hand for her to take. She took it and he led her into another room with a large double bed in the middle of it. Nathan dropped her hand and rummaged through a drawer. Skye looked around the bedroom and shivered at how dangerous and dark it felt. Nathan handed her a t-shirt and she smiled gratefully before he stepped out of the room. Skye quickly changed into the t-shirt and folded her clothes neatly.

"Nathan?" she almost whispered as she stepped out into the empty living room. He didn't reply so she walked across the room to the foyer. She opened the door to see Nathan talking to Tom and Max. Tom smirked when he saw what she was wearing and Nathan frowned. Max raised his eyebrows as Nathan ushered her back into the living room.

"See you later, Nath," Tom said as he left with Max. Nathan's frown was replaced with a smirk when he looked Skye up and down. "I like you in my clothes," he told her and she blushed. "Bathroom's there," he said as he pointed at a door in the corner of the room. She nodded and walked towards it. Nathan went into the bedroom and smiled at his current situation. It was completely in his hands. Skye was scared of him and he knew it. But he didn't want to hurt her. He couldn't help the anger that was playing on the back of his mind from the group of thugs earlier. They didn't have the right to touch her. She was his and everyone knew it but her. Nathan never wanted to cause Skye any harm. He just wanted to protect her. She was different to any other girl he had been with before. She was his.
